 Marilyn Jones (BA English, U of A & MA Communications, SFU) is a media relations and social media strategist who specializes in training not-for-profit organizations to use social media for promotion, fundraising, publicity, communication, and collaboration. The owner of RiverCity Productions, and the publisher of mediamag ezine, mediamag blog and mediainalberta.ca she has delivered media relations and social media workshops to over 500 nonprofit organizations throughout Alberta. In May 2012 she was nominated for a YWCA Women of Distinction Award in the Business/Entrepreneurial category for her work in this area.
