The men from Minnesota Adult and Teen Challenge in Brainerd shared their message with testimonies and music on Sunday, February 24th.
 A congregational potluck followed the 10:30 service to enable congregation members to get to know these men.

Holy Week
|  Palm Sunday: Holy Week will begin with Palm Sunday Worship on March 24th at 9:00am and 10:30am.
"The Last Week of Jesus' Life"

A special time of teaching by
John Caughlan on "The Last Week of Jesus' Life" will be held on Palm Sunday. John leads our yearly Seder Supper. After the 10:30 worship service there will be a quick potluck lunch
before the teaching which will begin around noon.
"Passover": This is a 75 minute movie explaining the Passover/Seder Celebration. Everyone is welcome to attend.
 Seder Supper: The annual Seder Supper will be at 5:30pm on W ednesday, March 27th. Please sign up for this event in the fellowship hall. Space is limited.  Maundy Thursday:
Maundy Thursday worship will be at 6:45p m on March 28th at 6:45pm. First communion for fifth grade students will be celebrated at this worship service.  Good Friday: Good Friday worship will be at 6:45pm March 29th. 
Easter Sunday: Easter worship services will be at 8:30am and 10:30am on March 31st. The youth will be serving breakfast in between services.

FINK and Children's Ministry

FINK: FINK is Immanuel's confirmation program. During Lent the students attend the midweek worship service with their faith mentor, discuss the service, share their highs and lows, and pray for each other.
FINK events at Salem Lutheran Church in Deerwood will resume Wednesday, April 3rd.
Children's Ministry:
Sunday School meets during the 10:30am worship service. Children attend the first part of the worship service and are dismissed following children's time.
Bibles will be presented to Third Grade Students on Sunday, March 17th at the 10:30am worship service.
On Maundy Thursday, children in 5th grade will be receiving their First Communion. Please feel free to take part in this event if your child is older than 5th grade but has not yet received their first communion. The study sessions to
 prepare for First Communion will be held at the church on the following dates: Saturday, March 16th 10:00 - 11:00 Saturday, March 23rd 10:00 - 11:00 First Communion on Thursday, March 28 (Maundy Thursday)
 Sunday School students in grades 3-6 are welcome to help the older youth serve the Easter breakfast on Easter Sunday, March 31st. The younger students are making table decorations for the breakfast. |

Women of Immanuel

 Stictch & Sew
The next Stitch & Sew is scheduled for April 13th at 9:30 a.m. in the fellowship hall. Please mark your calendars to join us for a great time of fellowship.
Women's Retreat
The women's retreat will be held March 22 & 23 at Presbyterian Clearwater Forest Camp in Deerwood.
If you are attending this retreat you need to bring the following:
- Heavy appetizer to share for Friday supper
- Bible
- Comfy clothes
- Boots for walking outside, if desired
- Sleeping bag or sheets
- Pillow case
- Towel/wash cloth.
Coffee, tea and water will be available.

Kelly Klein, Immanuel's Youth Coordinator has the following information for the youth of Immanuel.
-Like us on Facebook!!
-April 10 and April 24 5-7 pm Youth Cafe' - Drinks, snacks, music, games. Just a time to relax and hang out.
-Movie night in April TBA.
- Looking for service ideas. If you see a need in your neighborhood (shoveling, raking, mowing, etc.) please let me know. This is something that we can do to give back to our community. Post your ideas on Facebook.
-We need to brainstorm fundraising opportunities. Let me know your thoughts by posting them on Facebook!

Lent
The final midweek Lenten soup supper and worship service will be Wednesday, March 20th with the soup supper at 6:00pm and the worship service at 6:45pm.
During Lent the FINK students
have
served the soup at the soup suppers, served as greeters and ushers for the worship service and have shared a faith talk with their mentors following the worship service.
The final Ecumenical Lenten Noon
Devotions will be held at
Lifespring Evangelical Free Church (former C-I Presbyterian Church) at 12:00 noon on Wednesday, March 20th.
Altar
Check out the new altar in Immanuel's sanctuary. This altar was built by Merlin and Dan Beseman and stained by Lee Bohlin. The altar will be commissioned at a later date.
New Pathways
Immanuel will again host homeless
families with children the week of March 17th-24th. If you can help in any way with this week, please contact Nancy Evans or Bonnie LaPierre. The next week for New Pathways will be August 11-18.
