Children's Christmas Program

Christmas is a special time of year. The children are so full of excitement and eager to embrace the spirit of giving.
Thank you to everyone who has helped the Sunday school classes with their Christmas program this year. The program was a huge success and all the kids did a WONDERFUL job!
 There will be a break from classes now and we will see everyone back after the holidays. Please enjoy and have a Merry Christmas!

Gingerbread Houses

A gingerbread house building event was held at Immanuel on Saturday, December 8th. Everyone participating had a great time.

Youth and Children's Ministry
| |
FINK: FINK, Immanuel's confirmation program meets every other Wednesday at Salem Lutheran in Deerwood. Students do not need to be members of Immanuel to attend FINK. The next FINK session will be Wednesday, January 9, 2013.

Christmas in the Park: The FINK students served food at Christmas in the Park as a service project.
Sunday School:
 Sunday School is held during the 10:30am worship service. The children are dismissed following Children's Time in the service. Sunday School will not meet December 23rd or 30th but will resume January 6, 2013. | Christmas Eve Worship Schedule | |
 There will be three candlelight worship services on Christmas Eve, December 24th, at Immanuel. They will be at 2:00pm, 4:00pm, and 8:00pm. There will be only one worship service at 9:00am on Sundays December 23rd and 30th.

Women of Immanuel

Advent Luncheon:
Approximately 60 women attended the annual Advent Luncheon on December 1, 2012 at Immanuel Lutheran Church.
Delicious food, great program and a wonderful fellowship time was had by all.
Melva Panitzke read A Cup of Christmas Tea as part of the program and everyone sang Christmas carols accompanied by Judi Burson.
WOMEN OF IMMANUEL MEETING:
On Saturday, December 8th, approximately 20 women of Immanuel met to distribute funds made at our annual rummage sale and Spirit of Christmas Bazaar. We were able to allocate $14,000, with 30% designated to global missions and 70% for local missions.
 For global missions, $4,200 will go to Malawi Missions while $9,800 went to 14 different local missions. A complete listing of all designated funds can be found on the Women of Immanuel kiosk located in the Fellowship Hall. |

committee put together 52 care kits for the students in the Crosby-Ironton school district. They made up kits for a young girl and boy
and a youth girl and boy. Each kit included shampoo, toothpaste, other hygiene items and gloves. Each kit also contained a gift card for the Dairy Queen.

Thanksgiving worship was held on Wednesday, November 21st. Sabrina Ballard, Susan Bushard, John Klopfleisch, and Amy Stanfield each spoke about what they were thankful for  Puppets by Jesus presented two numbers as part of the worship service.  
 The worship service was followed by pie and fellowship.

| News Year's Eve at the Hallett Center |  The Cuyuna Range Ministerial Association is sponsoring a family New Year's Eve party at the Hallett Community Center on Monday, December 31st from 6:00pm to 9:00pm. Please bring a snack to share and enjoy an evening of swimming, skating and board games. All are welcome. |

Christmas Decorating

A decorating party was held on November 29th to decorate the church for Christmas. Those participating were treated to pizza when the work was completed.
The Story
The Story series continues at Immanuel in small groups, Sunday School, and Sunday worship services. There will be a two week break for Christmas. The Story worship series will resume on January 6th.
IHN (Interfaith
Hospitality Netword)
Immanuel will be hosting families through IHN January 6-13, 2013. Volunteers are needed for driving, cooking, playing games, and/or sleeping overnight. If you can help, please call Nancy Evans at 546-2817.
