Greetings!
This past week we had an outstanding time exploring Porterville and Springville, both gateway communities to the Sequoia National Forest in Central California. We toured schools and met with business owners and community leaders, hiked in the forest to view the world's largest trees, sipped on local wines and enjoyed fabulous foods, and got an insight to the area's diverse history! We're currently spending time at the historic Seven Sycamores Ranch in Ivanhoe, and then we're off to Exeter!
In this edition we cover author Barbara Casey's new novel 'The Gospel According to Prissy', multi-talented musician and performer Shevyn Roberts, Peter Tewksbury and the historic Barn Theater, cooking quinoa, and air pollution in our National Parks.
