With today being the start of National Park Week, it also marks the one-year anniversary of our Big Blend Spirit of America Tour of all National Park units. When we started the tour, there were 397 National Park units - and now we're up to 401! That's great news, however, the issue of park budget cuts still remains. The fact is, that every $1 invested into a National Park gives the local economy a return of $10.

In order to reach our goal of covering all 401 National Park units by the end of 2017, we are packing up our home and business to go on the road full-time (with our travel mascot Priscilla) starting in mid-June. Of course, we'll be updating you with our travels on our Spirit of America Tour website, in our new National Park Planner, and on our Big Blend Radio shows that will all be airing live from the various park gateway communities and destinations we visit. We'll also continue to feature articles, videos and photo features in our 10 different Big Blend Magazines, and of course in our Big Blend e-Newsletter.
