June Stats Release: Twin Cities real estate market continues to experience strong sales and low inventory

Released July 19, 2016 - Halfway through 2016, residential real estate markets are performing as predicted at the beginning of the year. In Memoriam: Hugh Trimble

SPAAR is saddened by the news that Hugh Trimble, of the NorthstarMLS, passed away on Saturday, July 23. The following message was posted on NorthstarMLS's site:

We are so sad to report the passing of our colleague and friend, Hugh Trimble. For over 15 years, Hugh administered the NorthstarMLS rules and regulations with expert knowledge and guidance, kindness and humor. He was motivated by a deep and sincere desire to help agents "color inside the lines" so that our real estate market worked better for everyone. We have always known Hugh was popular among our customers but were overwhelmed by the outpouring of well wishes and support from so many of you on Hugh’s Caring Bridge site and social media. Most of you know how full of life, humor, energy, love, compassion and positivity that he was. He was one-of-a-kind, and we will miss him greatly. Hugh was an extremely loving and devoted family man and is survived by his husband, children, grandchildren, mother, siblings, and so many other family, friends and colleagues.

You may visit Hugh’s Caring Bridge site here, which contains complete, updated information from his family. Once you have registered on the site, you will find him listed as Hubert Skanes-Cady. If you wish to lend financial support, the family has set up a special gofundme.com site where you may contribute (also listed there as Hubert Skanes-Cady).

The family plans to have a memorial/celebration of life service for Hugh in the next few weeks. Information regarding time and location will be posted on the Caring Bridge site and here when available. If you have pictures or stories of Hugh you would like to share for the service, you may send them to his family at hubiecady@gmail.com.

In the words of Hugh’s cousin Shant Willis, “To anyone who ever got to spend ANY amount of time in the presence of Hugh’s beautiful light, you are blessed. We are blessed.”
