SPAAR Collecting Books for Books Around the Block

SPAAR's Community Engagement Committee has partnered with the Builders Association of the Twin Cities (BATC) Young Professional Committee to design and build three "Little Libraries" within the Twin Cities metro area. The committee is now holding a book drive to stock the libraries, which will be installed at their locations in May. Books for donation should be in new, or gently used condition. We are looking for children’s books or general interest books. (No missing covers, no old college textbooks)

Books can be dropped off at all three SPAAR locations, and at BATC - 2960 Centre Pointe Dr., Roseville.

The Little Libraries will be located in Apple Valley, Oakdale, and Anoka. Designs for the libraries were selected from entries from SPAAR and BATC members. The winners of the design contest are Shelley Santine from Cundy, Santine & Associates, Architects, LLC and Erin Jones from FocalPoint Flooring Cabinets & Design.

For more information about the project contact Joe McKinley at jmckinley@spaar.com or 651-772-6344.
