SPAAR Members Make Donation to Blue Star Mothers

SPAAR members delivered a carload of groceries, toiletries, puzzle books and more to assist Blue Star Mothers with their spring We Care packages for active duty soldiers currently serving overseas.

The checks and gift cards collected will be used to pay for postage on these shipments and fill in the remaining care package items needed. Thanks for your generosity, SPAAR members!

NAR Announces Changes to the Committee Appointment Process

The National Association of REALTORS® has announced an important change that will be implemented for the 2017 NAR Committee Appointment Process, which opens on March 7, 2016. The committee appointment process has been changed from a recommendation process to an application process.

Did You Know?: What does RPAC stand for?

RPAC stands for REALTORS® Political Action Committe. Since 1969, RPAC has promoted the election of pro-REALTOR® candidates across the United States. The purpose of RPAC is clear: REALTORS® raise and spend money to elect candidates who understand and support their interests. The money to accomplish this comes from voluntary contributions made by REALTORS®. These are not members’ dues; this is money given freely by REALTORS® in recognition of how important campaign fundraising is to the political process. RPAC doesn’t buy votes. RPAC enables REALTORS® to support candidates that support the issues that are important to their profession and livelihood.

SPAAR & BATC Seeking Little Library Designs; Book Drive to Follow

SPAAR's Community Engagement Committee has partnered with the Builders Association of the Twin Cities (BATC) to bring Little Libraries to several communities including Apple Valley, Oakdale, and Anoka. Libraries will be designed by SPAAR and BATC members. Pictured, at right, are two designs that have been submitted and selected. Submissions are currently being accepted for the third location. Got an idea? Submit to amacleod@spaar.com by March 11, 2016. Libraries will be built and installed later this spring. A book drive to stock the libraries will be starting in March. Stay tuned for more details.
