Shiitakes!
 
Although we will only get a token flush of mushrooms this fall, it is great to see our initial attempt at growing them is succeeding.  





The round-capped delicacy in the photo above is one of the first four mushrooms that popped out with the rain we just received.  We are looking forward to harvestable numbers beginning next spring.
