Golden Opportunity
Our farm's non-cultivated fields, as well as most of our neighbor's fields, are awash in waves of goldenrod. Goldenrod provides one of our heaviest honey
flows of the year.
 Bursting At the Seams
Even our neighbor's livestock gate seems strained attempting to hold back the sea of flowers.
Reinforcements
Beekeeper Al Machinski has been to the farm several times this week both harvesting honey from our permanent hives, and bringing in additional high-rise hives, (shown above, still on the trailer) to maximize this golden opportunity.

Core Season Members-
It doesn't seem possible, but this Saturday's distribution will be the final one this year. We hope you enjoyed this summer's CSA!
Since this is the last share for core members, we ask that you please return all CSA bins to the farm, the drop sites, or leave them at your usual location for home delivery. We will distribute the final shares in half bushel, waxed cartons that need not be returned.
This week's shares will include Blue Potatoes, Orange Yummy Peppers, Green Beans, Spaghetti Squash, Collard Greens, and Tomatoes.

We are all familiar with the advantages of fresh, local fruits and vegetables but as the article linked below relates, even wheat is becoming regionally available with artisan bakers taking full advantage.
