Winter has a firm grip on the farm. Even though there is far too much snow to do any trimming, we survey the fields daily. Not only are snowshoes the only practical way to get around this time of year they are a fun way to assess the condition of the plants.

Last week I attended the Pennsylvania Association For Sustainable Agriculture's annual conference in State College PA. In addition to informative speakers there were multiple workshops on organic and sustainable farming techniques. The conference also provided an excellent opportunity to interact with our CSA's partner farm's owners. The contacts made, and information received, will translate to a higher quality CSA experience for our farm, and our shareholders.
