Injured DSU rugby player recovering after 28 day coma
Tuttle, a sophomore psychology major from St. George, and a player for Dixie State University's men's rugby club had a longboarding accident in April that led him to a devastating 28-day coma.
Tuttle's teammates and family have been supporting him and not giving up on his recovering. 7,079 dollars were raised for Tuttle on his GoFundMe account for medical expenses. Four weeks ago, he had brain surgery where his skull was placed back onto his brain. Since then, he has been able to talk better, he can eat by himself and he is able to remember everything about his life before the accident. He is currently at a rehabilitation facility in St George, where he is being helped to make physical progress and achieve his goals of walking with out any problems, lead normal life and one day play rugby again. He has been using a cane to walk, but it has been extremely difficult as the left side of his body is still weak.

Largest Incoming Freshmen Class of Trailblazers
A sense of excitement ushered in Dixie State University's first day of school Monday, when the institution welcomed its biggest class of incoming freshmen in the institution's history.
Described by some as an air of celebration, the energy associated with a large class was palpable as students hurried from class to class, became reacquainted with friends and professors, and prepared for another semester of active learning experiences. Joining this year's returning students, approximately 2,300 first-year freshmen registered for classes for the Fall 2016 semester, which amounts to some 400 more new freshman students than seen before at Dixie.

Social Issues to be Highlighted at 2016 DOCUTAH Film Festival
Allie Macier picks up a catalog one week before DOCUTAH, and circles all the documentaries she hopes to see.
Macier, a senior communication major from St. George, said she found herself in the digital film emphasis after a helpful adviser encouraged her to find a career path. She has been an avid supporter of the annual documentary-based film festival ever since, and she hopes to help produce documentaries and music videos after graduation.
"I was always highly affected by books, movies and music," Macier said.
This will be Macier's fourth year attending DOCUTAH. She is one of many students and community members looking forward to the education and entertainment provided at the festival, which will open on Sept. 6 and run through Sept. 10. A wide selection of 68 documentary films will be shown at multiple venues across campus and in the community and will be free to students all week.
