Max Rose, Beloved Educator, Passed Away

It is with great sadness that we inform you that Dr. Max Rose passed away this morning. Max was not only a staunch supporter of education on the Dixie State University campus, but in Washington County as a whole. He made countless contributions to education on all levels and selflessly dedicated himself to ensuring all students succeeded. He will be truly missed.

Max began teaching math and chemistry at Dixie College in 1972 and went on to become the vice president of academics. After decades of service to Dixie, he was named superintendent of the Washington County School District in 2003 and served in this capacity for 10 years. Additionally, he was a member of the DSU Board of Trustees from 2007 to 2014. He also received the Distinguished Alumni Award in 2015.

Max was married to Kathy, and they have four children and eight grandchildren. Please keep the Rose family in your thoughts.
