Dixie State University is excited to host the annual 4th of July Concert/Firework Show at the newly renamed Legend Solar Stadium. Together with Canyon Media and the City of St. George, we are bringing Sawyer Brown in concert and producing one of the most spectacular firework displays in the history of St. George. You won't want to miss this event!

Kristy Jo Hunt | June 2016
Kristy Jo Hunt (11') is the CEO and founder of Body-Buddies, an online nutrition and fitness coaching company. She directs the creation and marketing of educational content and promotional materials.
Additionally, she engages with client's one on one and in group coaching environments. Kristy received her Associates of Arts and a Bachelors of English degree; emphasis in Technical Writing from Dixie State.
"I will never forget my first semester as a new student in the English program," Kristy said. "Memories of feeling out of place, inarticulate, and lacking confidence to share my writing with my peers and professors were prominent. Over the course of the time it took to earn my degree, my confidence grew."

Dixie Day on Capitol Hill & Nationals vs. Phillies Baseball
We are excited to see many of you next week as we enjoy a breakfast on Capitol Hill on June 9 from 8-10AM. Then take part in America's favorite past time with us on June 10th in Washington DC. After completing the winningest season in the program's NCAA Division II era, the 2016 Dixie State baseball team is continuing to receive postseason honors and accolades. Listed below is the complete list (updated as more awards come in) of player PacWest, regional and national honors.

Softball garners three D2CCA West Region honors
Dixie State softball landed three players on the 2016 Division II Conference Commissioners Association (D2CCA) 2016 All-West Region Teams, as sophomore outfielderJanessa Bassett (Stansbury Park, Utah/Stansbury HS) and senior pitcher Aryn Feickert(Lancaster, Calif./Highland HS) earned first team honors, while freshman Jessica Gonzalez(Kingsburg, Calif./Kingsburg HS) was tabbed as the second team designated player.

Men's Golf Finishes 9th at NCAA West/South Central Regionals
Dixie State wrapped up its 2015-16 season Wednesday with a ninth-place finish at the 2016 NCAA Division II West/South Central Regional Golf Championships Tuesday at the New Mexico State University Golf Course in Las Cruces, N.M. The finished marked the second time in eight trips to the NCAA postseason that the Trailblazers posted a top-10 team finish (sixth place in 2012).

Dixie State Trailblazer Club
The Dixie State Trailblazer Club is a non-profit, volunteer organization created to promote,support and create community involvement opportunities for Dixie State athletic teams and student-athletes.
The Trailblazer Club provides funding to the Dixie State University Athletic Department, through various fund raising and endowment activities which allows Trailblazer student-athletes to succeed on their various fields and courts of play, excel in the classroom while progressing toward achieving academic success all while becoming and serving as outstanding and exemplary members of the community.
