Dear Dixie Alumni,
In 1914 the students of the Dixie Academy wanted to leave something for Dixie to remember them by and so they left a "D" on the black ridge. Whitewashing the "D" has been a tradition ever since and now continues as a week full of celebration. On the week of April 9th we will celebrate "D" week. A week filled with fun and tradition and we want you to join us!
On the 13th of April there will be a free BBQ at the Alumni House for our St. George Alumni and their families from 4:00-6:00 p.m. Immediately following (7:00 p.m.) will be the "Evening of Dixie" where Alumni will be recognized and thanked for all they have done for Dixie. We hope you can make it to these wonderful events planned specifically for you.
With the beautiful spring weather that we enjoy in Dixie, we want you to join the Alumni of Dixie State and celebrate the traditions that have continued for decades this time of year.

Dixie State University President Dr. Stephen D. Nadauld acknowledged the early pioneers who settled the area more than 150 years ago and their desires to establish education as a focal point of the area. He chronicled the evolution of the institution, from a stake academy all the way through to today, noting the many sacrifices made by those who came before to make today's celebration a reality.
