Our first full semester being a University has begun and we're excited to share with you our featured alumni, our alumni organizations, and the fun events that will be going on this semester here at Dixie.

The Student Alumni Association (SAA) is a group of current students who work under the direction of the DSU Alumni Board. Their mission and commitment is to maintain and develop school spirit while acquiring an appreciation for University traditions, thereby fostering pride in Dixie State University. So what do they do you might ask? They connect students of the past, present and future by promoting campus spirit, volunteer skills and develop relationships with alumni and current students. They work to keep the traditions alive and help students develop an affinity to Dixie State University.

D-Crew is a sponsor and student membership funded program designed to increase and maintain Dixie sprit. Those students who are members of the D-Crew pay a one time $10 fee to become a part of the club. Their fee includes 1 D-Crew T-shirt, admittance to D-Crew events and parties, 1 T-shirt at the white out game and many other exclusive student offers and community discounts. The goal of D-Crew is to create a student compadre based on school spirit and Dixie pride.
One of the main responsibilities of the D-Crew presidency and also it's student members is to support student athletes and all athletic sporting events. Support includes tailgates before every home football game, the organization of the whiteout basketball game, treats or pizza for students before most games and encouraged attendance to all sporting events.
In addition to athletic support, D-Crew also holds 4 themed parties throughout fall and spring semester to provide a fun college experience for members of the D-Crew.
Dixie has many long lasting traditions which promote school spirit and D-Crew is there to help uphold these traditions and make sure that they carry on for many years to come. |

The DSU Alumni Board is a volunteer based board that helps to promote the "Dixie Spirit" throughout the community and the world. The individuals that make up the board give their time and talents to help plan and run major activities such as the Homecoming celebration and "D" week in which DSU Alumni play a major part.
The DSU Alumni Board also helps with other activities and decisions throughout the year and love meeting with YOU! |
