Elite Girls Academy Braves The Cold To Play MTA

Elite Girls Academy from Omaha, NE braved the cold last weekend to bring their U11 and U12 girls teams up for the annual MTA-EGA Winter Friendlies.

EGA's Director, Marcus Kelcher, was just named the NSCAA Central Regional Coach of the Year.  He commented on the event saying "Every year we look forward to bringing our younger teams to Minnesota to compete against MTA.  The games provide our players competitive competition with emphasis being directly pointed towards the development of both the individual and team.  Andy and the MTA staff always put on a great weekend and we look forward to heading back in 2014."

MTA Director, Andy Kaasa, said "It is huge for us to bring up teams from one of the top clubs in the Midwest in the winter for our younger teams.  It is good to play verses Minnesota teams over the winter but nothing can replicate playing top level teams that are your same age.  As coaches, it is crucial for us to see if  what we are working on in training is being transferred onto the game field when they are faced with quality opposition."

Along with competitive games the U11's and U12's had a great time at the Mall of America Scavenger Hunt.
