Alumni Reception at APhA Meeting - March 5, 2016
Christopher Shaffer, Pharm.D., Associate Dean for Student Affairs, invites you to join him at a reception during the 2016 American Pharmacists Association (APhA) Annual Meeting co-hosted by Creighton University, the University of Nebraska Medical Center and the Nebraska Pharmacists Association. At the reception, we will have a slideshow, school updates, hot and cold appetizers and a cash bar. All alumni, students, faculty and guests who pre-register by Thursday, Mar. 3 will receive a complimentary drink ticket.

Study suggests pathway to HIV-1 cure

Treatment for inflammatory bowel disease goes nano
The 1.4 million predominantly young adults in the United States affected by inflammatory bowel disease (IBD) need help. The disease, chronic inflammation of the gastrointestinal (GI) tract, is painful, debilitating and comes with an increased risk of colon cancer. Read more.

Legislative Day 2016
Students from the College of Pharmacy attended Legislative Day at the Capitol on Wednesday, February 10. The students offered health care screenings to senators and staff.

SHARING board members attend conference
UNMC students and SHARING Student Board members attended an annual conference of the Society of Student Run Free Clinics (SSRFC) in Phoenix in January.
The conference brought together health science students who play an active role in their free clinics.
Austin Dudzinski and Stephanie Nitz, both fourth-year pharmacy students, gave an oral presentation titled, "Online Depression Training Module for Health Professional Students Participating in a Student-Run Free Clinic." Read more. |
