This week, CRTT removed 7 dumpsters (each cost $250) of debris from the trail near Spring Grove.  Thanks to Retirement and Investment Services for paying for one dumpster and to Spring Grove Hospital for all their assistance.  We anticipated needing 4 dumpster and needed a total of 7 dumpsters.  We need to pay for three additional dumpsters at a total cost of $750.  Please join and help us defray these costs.

Don't Grants Pay for the Trails?

CRTT does receive grant money for the trail but these are "matching" grants, which means we have to raise 50% of the money and the grants will match what we raise.

Your membership dollar  is basically matched, dollar for dollar, by these grants.  That is why it is so important for you to become a memberCheck out our 2013 accomplishments.

Little Free Library on Short Line Trail

A Little Free Library box has been put on the Short Line Trail near Maiden Choice Lane and Garden Ridge Road

Melissa Moore loves the concept of sharing books and is following a national trend of establishing little, free libraries in neighborhoods throughout the country.  Melissa live near the Short Line Trail in Paradise and decided the trail would be a great place to have one of these free library boxes.  Melissa and her friends built the library box and registered it with the national site. Residents are encouraged to drop off a book in the box and pick up another book.  A similar box has been set up on Rolling Rd. near the high school.

On Sunday, December 29, Sheldon Smith, Melissa and some friends erected the library and established the first little library in Paradise.  Thanks Melissa, Sheldon and friends
