As we approach the 2015-2016 school year and the first day of school on Monday, August 17, the Diocese of Palm Beach's Office of Catholic Schools is proud to announce that it is launching several new communication platforms to better serve its students, parents, alumni, employees, community members, and supporters near and far.

From the image above, you can see we now have an official Facebook page. "Like" the page to see interactive posts that feature photos, school news, announcements, and information from our diocesan schools. Find us at www.facebook.com/dopbcatholicschools

You can also follow our diocesan schools on Twitter to see daily updates that pertain to our schools. Find us at
https://twitter.com/DOPBCatholicSch

Plus, we have an Instagram account that allows us to use the online mobile platform to share photos and videos. Find us at: DoPBCatholicSchools

We are working on a website for the Office of Catholic Schools. We'll let you know when it launches.

There will be more to news about our diocesan schools to come. We plan on sending out regular School E-Newsletters. We hope you will encourage others to sign up for the schools news. Meantime, we want you to get ready for the first week of school.

We invite you to join us in prayer for our students, teachers, school staff and parents. Below are two prayers for your use.

May we have a blessed 2015-2016 year!

The Prayer of St. Elizabeth Ann Seton, the patroness of Catholic Education.

Prayer of St. Elizabeth Ann Seton

O Father, the first rule of our dear Saviour's

life was to do Your Will.

Let His Will of the present moment be the first rule

of our daily life and work, with no other desire but for

its most full and complete accomplishment.

Help us to follow it faithfully, so that doing what

You wish we will be pleasing to You.

Amen.

Prayer for the New School Year

Below is a prayer from www.webelieveandshare.com by Sadlier Publishing.

Gracious God,
as the summer begins to fade,
new possibilities lie on the horizon.

Bless all of those who ore beginning
or returning to their roles as teachers and catechists as well as
those who lead and support them in their efforts.

May this school year be a time of grace and
potential as they teach, shore, and challenge others to
grow in faith, knowledge, and wisdom.

Bless children and youth, along with their parents,
as they begin of a new school year.
May their minds be open to learning and
to the wonder of discovery and insight.

Be with us all as we embark on this new year.
Amen.
