Earlier today you might have received an Action Alert from the Florida Conference of Catholic Bishops asking you to take action by contacting your Senators to ask them to support a bill that would defund Planned Parenthood. The message from FLCAN is below.
If you have yet to take action, it is not too late. The vote on the proposed defunding bill S. 1881 is scheduled to be as early as 5:30 pm today. Please read the FLCAN Action Alert for further details and suggested action steps.

Defund Planned Parenthood!
Senate Action Expected Today
on S. 1881
BACKGROUND: The U.S. Senate is scheduled to vote as early as 5:30 pm EDT today, August 3, on S. 1881, introduced by Sen. Joni Ernst, (R-IA). This bill withholds federal funds from the Planned Parenthood Federation of America, Inc. and affiliates. All of these funds would be reallocated to mainstream health facilities and public health departments so there is no reduction in funding for women's health.
TAKE ACTION: Please send a message immediately to U.S. Senators Bill Nelson and Marco Rubio urging that they vote in favor of S. 1881.
