Tennessee DAR State Conference

Dr. Josephine Anderson McCamish (KDS Class of 1962) was invited to share her story with Tennessee DAR and guests during its 109th State Conference in Franklin, April 3-6, 2014.  Dr. McCamish spoke about her personal experience as a KDS student and about her family's involvement in the founding of the school during the early 1920s.  In her remarks, Josie shared the following: "Caring for individual students has been a part of the fabric of the school from the beginning. I want to tell you how that can happen for a lifetime and from a distance."
If you have a "Did You Know?" article about KDS School, the Grant community, or the state of Alabama that you would like to share with readers of our monthly newsletter, submit it  to Heather Green at hgreen@nehp.net.  If you have pictures in a digital format that relate to the article, submit them along with the article.  Many of our readers are new to the area and do not know the wonderful, rich history of KDS School and the Town of Grant.  I am sure they will be enlightened with something that you know and take for granted that everyone else knows too.
