Cox Primary Restroom Renovation Begins

Keith Buchanan
Elementary Principal Keith Buchanan took the first swing to begin the demolition.

Summer Break at KDS started with a bang (literally)! After more than a year of planning and raising funds for this much needed project, the renovation of the restrooms in the Gary W. Cox Primary Building has finally begun. Demolition that began on the last day of school is now well underway, and replacement of the 60+ year-old plumbing begins soon. The complete renovation is scheduled for completion in early August, just in time for the start of a new school year.

The lead roles of Crystal and Seymour were played by Danni Boles and Jared Wright.

If you have a "Did You Know?" article about KDS School, the Grant community, or the state of Alabama that you would like to share with readers of our monthly newsletter, submit it  to Heather Green at hgreen@nehp.net.  If you have pictures in a digital format that relate to the article, submit them along with the article.  Many of our readers are new to the area and do not know the wonderful, rich history of KDS School and the Town of Grant.  I am sure they will be enlightened with something that you know and take for granted that everyone else knows too.
