Thousands of Books Donated to KDS Libraries
 |
Middle School students who helped librarian Myra Morrison with organizing the books were excited to see what kind of books were to be found in each box opened. |
A generous donation by Barbara L. de Mare of the Shatemuc Chapter, NSDAR, of New York provided thousands of books for the KDS libraries and classrooms. Ms. de Mare donated and arranged for delivery of her personal library, comprised of 149 boxes of approximately 5,000 books. Subject matter covered in the lot included everything from fiction to foreign languages to upper level chemistry and math. KDS Middle School Librarian Myra Morrison and her students sorted through the books over the course of several weeks and distributed them to the appropriate personnel. Thank you, Ms. de Mare, for this special gift for the students at KDS!
