The Ridge, designed by Ken Kavanaugh, is set among the area's hills and valleys, featuring panoramic views of the Lake and more than 180 feet of elevation change.
"The Lodge of Four Seasons is pleased and proud to receive this kind of recognition from Golf Magazine, a national publication," said Dean Chininis, vice president and general manager of The Lodge of Four Seasons. "We are appreciative of this honor and will continue to work hard to offer great golf on all three of our courses."

Tom Weiskopf designed the course at Old Kinderhook Golf Resort, turning the rolling topography, rock waterfalls and flowering trees into a course that delights players at all skill levels.
"Old Kinderhook is honored to be selected as one of Golf Magazine's top five courses in the State of Missouri," Director of Business Development Jeff Carroll said. "The ownership, management and staff are very proud of our championship golf course. Attention to our golf course, which is open year-round, is meticulous."

Both courses credit the work of their course superintendents and staff with ensuring that the courses remain in top condition for play throughout the year.
"Recognition starts with our owners who consistently show confidence in the team that manages The Ridge," Chininis said. "Our director of golf, Matt Tausig, and his team provide strategic thinking and also make it easy to reserve a round and to play at The Ridge. The lion's share of recognition, however, must go to our golf course superintendent, Rusty Hamman, and his team. They have worked tirelessly through the year, in good weather and bad. I honestly have no idea how they keep The Ridge in such good condition."
Carroll, too, recognized the staff at Old Kinderhook. "The credit has to be given to our course superintendent, Rusty Fuller, his staff and to Martin Krulatz, our head professional, and the entire team in the golf shop," he said. "Their tireless work and attention to every detail makes the golf experience here at Old Kinderhook a pleasure.
"It is an honor to be in the company of the other wonderful courses listed in the top five," Carroll added. "We extend our congratulations to them and their commitment to Missouri golf excellence."
The other three courses listed for Missouri are Buffalo Ridge Springs in Hollister, Payne Stewart in Branson and Stone Canyon in Blue Springs.
