Welcome to the Rhode Island Chronic Care Sustainability Initiative Practice Newsletter, where CSI-RI shares exciting updates, news, milestones, meeting information and more with CSI-RI practices.
New "Scenario Document" to support new practices
The CSI-RI Executive Committee recently approved a "Scenario Document" which provides new practices with information on CSI-RI deliverables based on where they are in the developmental contract.  The document also provides direction for practices on what they need to do to move to the next level in the developmental contract by April 1, 2014. Practices are asked to let CSI-RI Management staff know by January 31, 2014 if your practice intends to submit documentation by February 28, 2014 for next developmental level consideration. Access the document here.
CSI-RI 2013 Contractual Performance Metric Standards

The developmental contract for CSI-RI aligns incentives with performance on three metrics; Process, Quality, and Utilization.  Clinical Quality measure, CAHPS PCMH Patient Experience and Utilization measures/targets are reviewed annually, to ensure that we are correctly measuring each metric and appropriately setting targets.  Practice Reporting Committee, Data & Evaluation Committee, and Executive Committee have worked to develop and approve these performance standards for the 2013 contract adjudication.

Also approved and in this document, are some general policies for CSI-RI.  One policy highlights the annual process for the review of Clinical quality measures and CAHPS PCMH Patient Experience measures.  The other highlights guidelines for a practice that may choose to use an alternate vendor for their CAHPS PCMH Patient Experience Surveys.
