Due to the unfortunate and tragic death of Councilor Batte's daughter-in-law, Laura Batte, and out of respect for Councilor Batte and the Batte family, the City Council Workshop for this Monday  afternoon is cancelled, the regularly scheduled meeting will go on as planned.

UPDATE: THE MI SAIL & POWER SQUADRON, READY SET, WEAR IT! CAMPAIGN.  An update on the Marco Island Sail and Power Squadron Ready, Set, Wear IT! campaign.
The official results are in: the World Record was shattered from 6,973, in 2014, to this year 10,917 participants.    There were 274 registered sites internationally. 
Marco had the largest number of participants of all of the sites in the state of Florida.
Thanks to all of Marco Island organizations that took part and the community at large.
