10th Annual Huntingdon County Chamber of Commerce and Bonney Forge Corporation Golf Tournament - Seeking Golfers!
 
We will be hosting our 10th Annual Huntingdon County Chamber of Commerce and Bonney Forge Corporation Golf Tournament on Wednesday, June 22 at the Huntingdon Country Club. Registration will begin at 11:00 a.m. There will be a Putting Contest from 11:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. The Shotgun start will be at 1:00 p.m. There will be a buffet dinner and award presentations following the tournament. 

We are currently seeking golfers. The cost per golfer is $75 and you will receive 18 holes of golf with a cart, a gift bag for golfing in our tournament, snacks and beverages on the course, a buffet dinner and the chance to win team and individual prizes. Huntingdon Kiwanis Club Annual Blueberry Sale

 

The Huntingdon Kiwanis Club is holding their Annual Blueberry Sale. They are $27.00 for a 10 lb box. They will be delivered on Monday, June 27th at the Salvation Army Memorial Hall from 11:00 a.m. to 4:00 p.m. If you would like to order, you can call Jaime Yarnell at 627-2661 or email her at yarnell@fnb-corp.com. 

Rotary Club of Huntingdon Annual Chicken Barbecue

 

The Rotary Club of Huntingdon is holding their 58th Annual Chicken Barbecue on Wednesday, July 27, 2016 from 4:00 to 6:30 p.m. at Emmert I. Detwiler Memorial Field. Tickets are available for $9 each and you may get them from a Rotary member or call the Chamber and we will assist you. The proceeds benefit the Huntingdon Community Center and other local charities.

Leadership Huntingdon County is Accepting Applications

 

Leadership Huntingdon County is now recruiting for the 2016-2017 class! Leadership Huntingdon County is a series that includes a variety of educational approaches including lecture, field trips, skill building, "hands on" experience, teamwork, fact-finding and problem solving for issues facing our community. Class session topics include diversity, grant writing, local government, tourism, transportation, economic development, health care, human services and heritage. 


 

The Leadership Huntingdon County class will meet one evening per month from September through May. To kick off the program there will be an evening reception in August and a Saturday retreat in September. Two local Saturday field trips are planned. The fall field trip will focus on learning about the County's heritage, while the spring field trip will focus on recreation and tourism.

Coffee Connection

 

On Thursday, June 9 from 7:45 to 9:00 a.m. we will host a Huntingdon County Business Activities Coffee Connection at the Huntingdon Country Club. 
 

Promote Your Business or Organization for FREE at the Rodeo

 

The Huntingdon County Chamber of Commerce has partnered with the Central PA Rodeo to offer our members the opportunity to participate in the Kids Corral. There is no cost for members to exhibit and offer a children's activity. We prefer something that will be fun for them, but other items pertaining to kids can be offered also. You would need to bring your own table/tent or whatever need. 

 

The Rodeo is at the Huntingdon Fairgrounds June 17, 18 and 19. Show times are: Friday and Saturday night 7:30 pm and Sunday at 4:00 pm. The gates open three hours in advance. 

 

The kid's area will be available for setting up at 1:00 pm on June 17. All exhibits shall be in place and open by 4:30 pm on Friday, June 17. In addition, exhibitors will be open by 4:30 pm on Saturday, June 18 and 1:00 pm and June 19. Teardown is after the Sunday, June 19 rodeo show. If you arrive after the 4:30 pm set up time, you will not be allowed to set up until after the Friday night show has closed the gates and all spectators have left the fairgrounds.

Business After Hours at the Grier School
 
Join us on Thursday, June 23, 2016 from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m. at the Grier School located at 2522 Grier School Road Tyrone, PA 16686 to celebrate their many accomplishments throughout the years! 

They have been a boarding school for 163 years and a day school for 6 years serving students locally and all over the world in grades seven through twelve. They will be catering this event and serving non-alcoholic beverages.
