"Where in the County is the Huntingdon Chamber?"
| | |
The Huntingdon County Chamber of Commerce and HUNNY 106 have teamed up to present "Where in the County is the Huntingdon Chamber?" Each day, Membership Director Mike Balchin will be at a different location and call in during the HUNNY 106 morning show and give 3 clues to the location. The first person to call with the correct location will win a prize from that location. Where in the County is the Huntingdon Chamber will take place from October 15th through the 19th and then October 29th through November 2nd.
The promotion quickly found 10 locations for the two weeks and has been going great so far. Business are enjoying the different approach to marketing their business and having fun at the same time. With the reception that this first attempt has seen, we will most likely do this again at a later time.

Travelers who choose this option will visit the Big Wild Geese Pagoda, the Terra-Cotta Warriors at the Tomb of the First Emperor of Qin Dynasty, the Huaqing Hot Spring Park and Banpo Museum, a preserved pre-historic caveman site. The cost of the side trip is $500 per person.
Here's what a couple of the people who took the trip when we offered it in November 2011 had to say. "The Chamber of Commerce China trip was fantastic. It was educational, inspiring, I would even say life-changing. The history, sights, sounds, and culture of China are so excitingly different from what we are used to. I was moved to appreciate and contrast aspects of China and of the USA. The tour was packed with activity, the accommodations were first rate, and the guides were excellent. I definitely recommend the trip." - Margo Fuiek "In November 2011 my wife and I took the Chamber of Commerce China trip. What an awesome experience! Yes the flight was very long, but well worth it. We were on the go throughout the trip, visiting historical sites, seeing the local culture, shopping at the exotic sales venues and enjoying the pace of China. Our accommodations were all five star and excellent. All meals were tasty and held our interest. Our guides spoke fluent English and were receptive to our questions and comments. We especially enjoyed the Great Wall, The Summer Palace, The Humble Administrator's Garden and the ride on the Mag-Lev train. The trip was a great value and we'd recommend it to anyone who wants a not-to-be missed China adventure." -Clair Kenyon Click here for details. The deadline to register is December 21.

South Central PA Business Continuity Conference

The South Central PA Task Force will hold a Regional Business Continuity Conference on Friday, November 9, 2012, at the C. Ted Lick Wildwood Conference Center, which is located on the campus of Harrisburg Area Community College in Harrisburg, PA.

More than 120 business leaders from South Central PA and beyond, representing organizations ranging in size from less than 50 to more than 250 employees, attended the conference in 2011. have established business continuity programs.
Space is limited. Lunch is provided. Pre-registration is required and seating is on a "first come, first served" basis.
