    Message from
               Sue McCollum

 Dear Friends,

Madeleine Albright, U.S. Secretary of State (1997-2001) discovered the power of pins to convey a foreign policy message. She began selecting appropriate pins to wear to particular meetings, visually expressing her high hopes, determination, impatience, or warm feelings. The pins soon became her diplomatic signature.  Click here to read the full article.

The My Blue Dot pin is also worn to show the power of our visual message of Healing, Hope and Health. Our pins, our unspoken words, honor all the cancer warriors and what they have been through. It also shows that we are standing together in this fight against cancer.

This month we have started a new link on our website entitled, Helpful Articles. (see below) Michelle Jin  is the contributing author and is a recent graduate from Stanford University and a clinical research coordinator at the Stanford Cancer Center. She first got interested in cancer research when her grandmother was diagnosed with lung cancer and passed away at a young age. Michelle hopes to contribute to cancer research and one day become a physician to help more people.

Healing, Hope, Health

Pins are very important.

They speak volumes to you and to me.

Our three blue dots do represent

Healing, Hope and Health to all who see.

Healing of my physical body,

But also of my soul and mind.

Hope for a new future after

Being set-aside for a time.

Health, once again, I will declare

So I can go and do and be,

A new focus will also now be mine

For from cancer, I now am free!

So I'll wear this pin as my symbol

And may you do that too.

It honors you and other cancer warriors

And what they have been through.
