Dear Friends, Sue & Ornament

Occasionally it is important to go back to the basics. Thus, this Newsletter is to tell the story, once again, of how - and why - My Blue Dots began.
When the words, "You have cancer, Sue" were spoken to me - time stopped.
Cancer took both of my parents when I was very young so I wondered if it would also take me?
When I am deeply touched I write, so my first book "Moving On...before and after cancer" was written. It is a journal of my journey through my cancer experience.
But more had to be done to honor those on this journey, thus My Blue Dots was established. It's purpose is to honor those who wear the 'blue dots' (tattoos you receive before radiation), to inform others what the blue dots are and to give back to cancer research.
Working with a glass artist, we designed these one of a kind, hand blown glass ornaments to honor those on this journey as well as to use this round glass symbol to say, "Envision a world free of cancer."....and may it be so.

                      Until Next Time........

      CANCER will be
                           CURED sometime
                                   why
not NOW?

 Blue Dot Ornament

It sat on my heart for four years

The thought would not go away

When I finished my radiation treatments I asked,

"How could I acknowledge this day?"

What could I do for others that said,

"It's over - you've made it through."

I honor you and celebrate your life

And am very proud of you.

So this hand blown ornament, I did design,

As a symbol of courage for you.

Beautiful, unique and one-of-a-kind

This ornament - with dots that are blue.

So the blue dots on this ornament

Are to acknowledge both me and you.

It was a difficult time, in our book of life,

But we honor what we've been through.
