Spiritual Growth

The articles this month can grow the soul if each individual decides to put them in practice. Life is beautiful and who better to receive blessings from Our Father than each individual that embraces what is here.

Let us know that life reveals each as part of the Universe's wealth, for being poor are the ones whose spirit is lacking. Jesus made it clear to us that the poor would always be with us.

The spirit that is lacking is faith and with this spirit, the poor ones do not understand religion and leave this teaching and oft times uninterested in Religion of any kind.

We trust these have found other teachings that are fulfilling them. We believe that those who left want to know TRUTH again, but there is nothing that we can do to make one think wealth, happiness, joy, or TRUTH. All these feelings are Our Father.

We think it is wise to abide by the words that the Pope delivered to Washington, Congress, United Nations, Philadelphia, and the other places that he visited. None of what he said is difficult. It simply means that GOOD is to abide in the United States of America.

The month of November is always a pleasure to write articles for The Source Within Newsletter. Activity for this month, it would be wonderful if you begin each day with this affirmation when you awaken, "Thank you God for carrying me through the night into this wonderful new day. Guide, guard, and protect me in all my actions. Let this day be the most beautiful I can live." If you will make this a habit, you will see a difference in your life and your connection with God.

May you begin to feel His Presence.

Thank You Father that I Am Alive

What a beautiful day! Let us give thanks for life, praise Our Father, honor Him and worship His Holy Name. If we can do that, then we ARE alive. Now, let us begin to have fun with Our Father.
This life is meant to be joyous, glorious and splendid, and it is up to each of us to see it this way. First, let us thank Our Father each morning when we awaken and ask Him this question, "What fun can we have together today?" That is a wonderful attitude to take each morning.

It is important that we express our thanks mentally, verbally and silently. The Law of Giving and Receiving says that if we want to receive, we are to first give. If any of us think it is the other way around, then the thinker will be a long time receiving.

This Law includes: It is more blessed to give than to receive, and as we freely give, we freely receive. If someone offers a gift and the response is, "Oh, no. You do not have to give to me." Then it would be wise to study this law and truly learn what it means, for the person that sees things this way has much to learn.

It has long been our belief that we have little problems in giving, but a great problem in receiving, because of a negative belief of self-worth. Yeshua, better known as Jesus gave unselfishly to those who wanted to grow and improve their life. The multitude was fed, because they were there to receive good, to grow in consciousness. This was his pattern to give only where good was desired. We know this to be true, because he warned us about unwise giving.

His words were, "Do not throw your pearls before swine lest they trample them under their feet and turn and rend you." He was simply telling us to not teach, give information, or any material stuff to anyone who could not, or would not appreciate it, or improve themselves with it. This is a very wise teaching.
It is good to give of your life, thought, and love, and do well whatever you are called upon to do. It always pays to express the best unselfishly so that it can increase spiritually.

Living to make impressions upon people so we can become famous leads to emptiness. While we live, WE LIVE! The Law of the Spirit of Love, of Life, leads us to the love of Divine Mind. Each individual has a purpose. To stray from that purpose simply because we see others doing more and we want to be on top leaves our own purposeful life empty.

Let us be satisfied with what we know, what we can do and know that we do our best in whatever it is. Let us give thanks every moment of our life. Let thanks always be on our lips. Let us wake up saying, "Thank you Lord for bringing me safely through the night into this glorious new day that you Lord have prepared for me. Let me know the joys that I can experience this lovely day."

If this is done daily, each will see how life truly is beautiful.

Are We Afraid of Grace?

Turn to God and Praise
His Holy Name

I know this is the November Newsletter, but it is important to tell you I reread the Skit regarding God's Grace and my heart was struck with awe again upon completion.

We are ALL foolish if we misunderstand the beauty of the Life that Jesus led. That skit made it alive again. Let it do the same for you. It is wise and good to allow grace to come alive in you.

Ministers of Religious Science Churches, this is a good one to use, particularly in your Youth Programs.
In our Concordance to the Textbook the word "grace" is recorded 4 times, but the word "grace" is only used once in the textbook. Of what are we afraid? Does the word "grace" frighten us? It is in our textbook.
In the Glossary the definition of "grace" is given. It says, "Grace is . . . but we need to recognize it." Please tell us, how do we recognize grace when we do not speak about it, or teach it? The definition is on page 596 and is beautiful.

We are very much in the philosophy of teaching TRUTH here at Universal Wisdom Fellowship. Our viewpoint coexist with that of Jesus. We are to understand that the way Jesus works is the same as Our Father, but the way Our Father works is very different from how man works.

The parable in Matthew 20 is far from what we, as humans, would do. Thus, the grace, greatness, and service is far different from what we do. It is obvious that when we agree upon something, no matter what happens afterwards, our agreement still stands.

However, we may feel that when things do not turn out the way we thought they would, or we refuse to change, we may feel the agreement is to be altered. That is not grace, and it certainly is not the way Our Father wants us to work or live.

Thus, we are to be very careful for what we agree upon to do, because the Universal Laws hold us to our word, which is our agreement.

Let Us Dream Together

We can dream about many things, but have you ever thought about dreaming of the Glory of the Lord? What do you think would happen if we would allow our thoughts to roam about having a wonderful and magnificent life?

It is said that our life follows our thought and if that is so, what would happen if we began to think about obeying Our Father in all the teachings and in what Yeshua (Jesus) teaches, feeling His love and allowing Him to guide us every step of the way?

Today, it appears that so many are thinking on the negative side of life. The TV programs are negative. We do not have Touched by an Angel anymore, or Little House on the Prairie, or other programs that give us the idea that life is beautiful and we can be beautiful in it. Even the advertisements are very cruel and very negative. It appears we have lost our minds and turned to being very unpleasant.

Our teachings in the Wisdom of Science of Mind may be the reason that so many have turned around and are doing the opposite of what Jesus was teaching us to do. I know that this is a very negative thing to say and may cause all of you to decide to stop reading The Source Within, but before you do, stop and think.

We took away the idea of hell and told everyone that Heaven and Hell are simply states of consciousness. Yet, the Scriptures tell us differently. We find it difficult to allow this to go unsaid any longer. Jesus tells us that Earth is the First Heaven and the reason for Earth is a testing ground for what we learn.

It tests if we believe that God is God. It gives us thoughts about Our Father God and seeks to reveal if we truly love Our Father. Also, there are Angels who are assigned to the First Heaven, which is Earth.

The question has been asked about the number of Heavens, but the answer has come that we do not need to know that right now.

So, for what reason is this kept secret? We surmise it is because we as humans devise many things that are not so when we fail to understand Truth. If you were taught by the earlier teachers that walked with Dr. Holmes, you will know that he warned us to find Truth for ourselves. However, many of us are spiritually lazy and that includes us, for it is wonderful for someone else to tell us Truth.

We suggest that you read in our Textbook beginning on page 427 regarding the Teachings of Jesus and then proceed to question Jesus about the Truth of these writings.   The Wisdom of Science of Mind is simply a guide toward Truth as ALL Religious teachings are.

Jesus never said that we HAD to believe him; he simply asked us to believe him and to believe IN him, because his Father sent him to do The Father's work.
How difficult is that?

Living is up to each individual. No one has the right to live another's life, or to actually tell another HOW to live. Even we, as Ministers can only suggest what can work. It is up to each individual to decide HOW.

When we question, there is NO DISRESPECT. It is simply for information. That also, is one way that those in charge can know what to say to us. That is another way to use this authority that we have. Thus, who better to ask than Jesus, and Our Father God?

Words Have Power Motivational Business Phrase Note
GOOD, GOODNESS, O LOVELY GOODNESS

While reading, the word "good" came to mind. As humans, we do so many things routinely and never give an understanding to what we are doing. How many times do we say this ONE word without thinking, "What does it mean?"

There are many pearls given to us all during our lifetime, but we pay little to no attention to what we receive and as a result, we may be losing out on many wonderful blessings. Today, let us understand that anytime we use the word "good" we are sending abundance to you, wealth to you, opulence to you and good also means that we are sending virtue, worth, benefits of all kinds to you and of course, we wish one to be whole also.

You see, words are very important, but when we learned to talk, no one took the time to tell us the true meaning of these words. Even though the one reading this may be 110 years of age, never allow age to be a problem, for we can always learn something new. The soul does not assess age, or keep up with it. The soul only measures growth.

The next time we say, "Good morning" let us understand that we are saying, "Have an abundant morning, or a wealthy morning", or any of the other wonderful words that mean good.   Remember, that abundance and wealth is NOT just about money. We can have an abundance of joy, peace, happiness, or money and we can have a wealth of knowledge, a wealth of understanding, or even a wealth of consideration and kindness.

This word "good" is powerful, for we also call Our Father GOOD. Many of the earlier writers in New Thought refer to Him as good, and so do the Scriptures. When Jesus was called good, he told the people that none were good except The Father. What do WE say?

THINK ON THESE THINGS
Inspirational Typographic Quote - You are stronger than you think
Think on These Things
It is often said that we are to be alert, aware, and awake. Do we understand what these words mean?
  • To be "alert" does not mean simply that our eyes are open, but that our mind most assuredly be open along with our eyes AND we are to open our ears for hearing and listening.
  • To be "aware" means that we know every moment what is going on in our life and the things that are happening around us. When we are aware we are mindful, knowledgeable, and we understand what we are thinking, speaking and hearing. Our discernment is keen, quick, and energetic.
  • To be "alert" means that we are attentive, observant and on our toes, so to speak, ready to act on the first sign of precise action.
