The Importance of the Passover Meal

Our families came from Traditional Religions and we really know little to nothing about the Jewish Religion. In researching The Passover Meal, we find that charoset is a very important part of the Passover Dinner, but most interesting was what this Website http://judaism.about.com/od/holidays/a/sederplatesymbols.htm had to say about "hard boiled eggs!" I have never in all my life heard this before and after Rev. Fred took a look, neither had he.

It would be helpful if Ministers, Priests, Pastors and all who teach others would teach the TRUTH about this symbol of "boiled eggs." We send you to this site so that you may see other teachings of Judaism. If we really want to understand the Wisdom of Science of Mind, we now can understand that all Religions are based on Judaism. Where the problem of misunderstanding, those who prefer to believe and practice their belief, never return to understand Judaism.

We understand some things and forget about the root beliefs. If you are truly a student of the Wisdom of Science of Mind, then you realize that we embrace ALL Religions. Thus, Judaism

IS one of those Religions.

The Seder Plate at Passover holds seven symbols. This I found very fascinating, because in invoking one of the Archangels, we invoke symbols to become activated. Symbols? That has always been confusing for me, because in Science of Mind, I, II, III, in the Consciousness Classes or in the School of Ministry, we did not discuss symbols. Now however, I know that the Passover Meal has seven symbols!

Do you know that there is even the fact that cleaning is to be done? That means everything has to go. The house is to be spotless. Perhaps, that is the reason for Spring cleaning as we know it. Yet, we fail to give the Jewish Religion credit for this symbol.

Our Easter Season is early this year and that means the fasting time is nearing the end. We do not observe Lent, for it has lost its real meaning. We find it better to take this time beginning on Easter and to continue it for 21 days to practice the teachings of Yeshua (Jesus) that we may become like him. That would be April 5, 2015 to April 25, 2015, which would total 21 days or 3 weeks.

Let your time be joyful, for Yeshua loved happiness.

All about Jesus, the Masterful Teacher

What is here will not take away what you believe, but simply "fine tune" your beliefs. You will get a greater understanding of the importance of practice.

Jesus, the masterful and an understanding teacher taught us many wonders that are still pertinent today on how we are to embrace Our Father.

At some point to those he taught, the lesson shifted and instead of having faith, trusting what he said, and believing that he knew what he was talking about, they began worshipping him.

I know that many of the readers here may have problems with what is written, but just give me a chance to open this lovely and most precious Master and most precious indwelling Spirit to you, perhaps in ways you have never known this Christ.

He is a "Savior," but we in Religious Science do not use that term, because of the misinterpretation of the use of the word. However, Dr. Holmes' on page 186, paragraph 5 says, "The more exalted, the more heavenly, the more bondless, the more Godlike or Christlike the thought is, the more power it will have. This is why the greatest teacher became the Savior. A spiritual genius would have to be a Savior."

As a "Savior," his words can save us, but as it is, the misinterpretation comes in the fact of simply believing that we are saved if we join a church, or we are saved if we do a good deed and those are untruths.

Before man learned that scientifically we cannot fall off the earth, we believed this fervently and people were afraid for those who went further out on the waters of the earth, but when they came back, they knew that they could travel further than they had before. It was practice and going beyond their beliefs that taught them we cannot fall off.

Jesus taught us much and his teachings are still alive. In teaching compassion, it may be that we still have much to learn about compassion. A compassionate and tenderhearted person will never lie, cheat, steal, hurt or harm another individual.

It appears that this emotion compassion is far from becoming a constructive part of our subconscious actions. If we look at what is happening in the world today, it is evident we have much to understand in regards to the teachings of Jesus and his use of compassion.

Jesus gave us marvelous instruction about how to worship, not him, but Our Father in Heaven. That instruction IS to understand that the rejuvenating power of the Spirit is now operating in every cell and every fiber of our being, making each of us whole, pure, fresh, and radiant with Divine Life and wholeness.

If we accept this, we will forever flow with the vitalizing, tireless energy of the Life of Our Father. Thus, we are forever youthful. I know we are tied into believing in age, but think about it, if we are created in the image of Our Father, and I believe that to be true, and after the likeness of Our Father, and I truly believe that, then there is no way for any of us to become aged or old!

In addition, Jesus taught us about loving Our Father, worshipping Him, always remaining in harmony, peace and to meditate with Him so that we will know HIS Will. Jesus had many Angels guiding him, loving him and keeping him safe. If we follow him, it is possible for us to have many Angels guiding, loving, and keeping us safe. By the way, Angels do not have wings (though I understand why we put wings on them) and they are without color. They are translucent, glowing, luminous and radiant.

I believe that if we stay under the loving care of Jesus we will always be safe. It is however always more blessed to keep all as happy as possible, but not to the point of disobedience. Know that love binds us to the present moment, while punishment binds us to the past. Think about that.

It is said that Jesus loved the Psalms and the Proverbs. How do you feel about that? Proverb chapter 14, verses 7, and 8 are excellent Proverbs. It would be good to put them to memory. May we ask that you go to our Website: www.universalwisdomfellowship.org and click on the area that says Bible Search and type in Proverb 14:7-8. There are many, many Bibles there and you will be able to find one that will give you a translation that will be easy to understand. There is even the 1599 Geneva Bible (GNV), an Easy Translation Bible, a Jewish Bible and many, many more. Remove your fears of reading the Bible and just try it.

To continue-It is wise to keep a humble spirit about us. Humility is big in the mind of Our Father and in the teachings of Jesus. To be a braggadocio supports the "little" ego and it is the Big Ego that we want to build. It may be difficult to practice humility, because many believe that people will walk all over you. That is a great untruth. In fact, a humble spirit makes us strong, king, loving and free.

Building the Big Ego will assist us in relying on intuition. God knows only intuitively. We can have the ability to know without any process of reasoning.

Jesus taught us that using words like going to, will, must, should, or any other word of this sort puts it in the future tense, therefore our servant, the subconscious mind, keeps us from doing what we say, or receiving the gifts Our Father gives us. Even if our thoughts remind us, nothing can be done, because of the futurity of our words. Simply say, "It is done." The only time words of futurity may work is when you give a time, meaning hour in which this is to be done. That way it is future, but in the present. We must be very specific.

Jesus taught us how to pray. Please read the article, The Lord's Prayer to understand what he was teaching. All the teachings of Jesus showed us how to spiritualize our five senses until we raise our material consciousness to spiritual consciousness in feeling, tasting, seeing, hearing and smelling.

I trust you know that this is just the tip of the iceberg in the teaching of Jesus. It would take many articles and much paper to give you everything about him. From time to time, it is our quest to lead you into more understanding about this Masterful Teacher.

Universe Expressing Ancient Love

Ancient Love

Have you ever heard of Ancient Love? It is so very old. It solves all problems no matter what they may be. When we learn how to pour it onto our problems-poof-they are gone. It is just that simple.

This is what Yeshua was and is teaching us. Will you risk his love, his ancient love to be happy? Some may feel or even think this is crazy. Maybe that is what the people of his time thought too. Just know this kind of love is honest, true, free, kind, noble, altruistic, and holy. This is the Divine Love of Our Father.

Everyone seeks it, but few understand it. We are unable to explain it or to describe it, for it comes straight out of the heart. Yet, what is there in the heart are blood, vessels, ventricles, veins, arteries, and valves. Oh, there is much more, but what we are saying is that nothing here can describe what Ancient Love or Divine Love is.

The most important understanding is that the heart is the most important organ of our body. Yet, the one emotion that makes the heart work better, live, operate, and allow the synchronization of our heartbeat is the emotion of Ancient Love.We know that many who find it impossible to love have many problems with the heart. This is something that we are unable to accept, but if we check the Scriptures, we will find that LOVE is very important to living and life.

Ancient Love began with Yeshua and his love for His Father. His love was deep, kind, healthy, healing, and peaceful. How many of these qualities do we embrace in our personalities? Even "The Twelve" did not understand his love, for they thought he was with them to make their Jewish lives regal.

Please understand that all the foods that are needed to keep the heart strong must also be obeyed. We must constantly feed our mind with affirmative thoughts, and the twelve Powers explained by Cora Fillmore's "Christ Enthroned in Man," and of course our teaching in the Wisdom of Science of Mind. All the teaching here is affirmative and teaches us to take responsibility for all our actions.

Remember, that Our Father gave us dominion over our own life. Thus, it is our responsibility to think kindly, speak kindly, make wise decisions, take care of ourselves, and love the Lord God Almighty with all our heart, our mind and our soul.

It is out of Ancient Love that we never depend upon another to take care of us. We can do kind things for another, but never that another is to do what we are to do for ourselves. That action alone could cause us to have to incarnate again, just to learn that one thing. Who can say how many incarnations one has lived and still it is unlearned?

The Lord's Prayer

Jesus taught "The Twelve" so much. They knew the difference in healing and praying as one of them asked

"Master, we understand all that you teach, but how do we pray?"

The "Light of Wisdom" awakened here. This Prayer answers all areas of our life. You will find this prayer in Matthew 6 beginning with verse 9. Jesus began like this:

  1. Our Father
    1. Our Heavenly Father is the only Father that we have. We are to call no man on earth father.
  2. Who art in Heaven
    1. Where else could the Creator truly live except in our hearts? Living from the heart is Heaven. "Heaven is the native home of mankind." Thus, we are to know that thinking ONLY good is what we are to do.
  3. Hallowed be Thy Name
    1. To hallow something is to bless it, revere it, and respect it and to make it sacred. Some who use Our Father's name in an arrogant manner may misunderstand what they are doing. This insults Our Father. Reverence for God will give us a deep strength.
  4. In Earth, as it is in Heaven
    1. On earth is where we live, and what we are to do here is to become aware of how to equal the thoughts and words of Our Father as if we were in Heaven every moment of our life. This glorifies Our Father and brings honor to His name.
  5. Give us this day our daily bread
    1. Bread represents ideas, universal substance, which is in everything. Some of the substance is food and some are words. You may fail to realize that Our Father created herbs and certain herbs were used in the Bible. The book by James A. Duke, entitled, "Herbs of the Bible" provide the "Possible Benefits" of approximate 57 Herbs. What we need in order to live a happy and spiritual life is to know the thoughts and the foods that will bring that action.
  6. And forgive us our debts as we forgive our debtors
    1. It is impossible for us to be forgiven , or even expect to be forgiven as long as we hold anything against another, or ourselves. As means moment to moment, equally, every moment and inasmuch as. That means that we must be aware of what we are doing, saying, and thinking every split second. You see, to hold anything against another, or ourselves is to hold it against Our Father.
  7. And keep us from all temptation (my translation as God could never LEAD us into temptation)
    1. If we watch and pray, it will keep us from temptation. When Jesus walked with "The Twelve" he let them know that their only desire was to love Our Father and to worship ONLY Him.
    2. When we are tempted, it means that we see something else that is greater than Our Father.
  8. Deliver us from evil
    1. Evil is the culprit that keeps us in trouble, for it can be wicked. Our Textbook, "To affirm the presence of God is better than to deny the presence of evil." SOM page 217.
  9. For thine is the Kingdom, the power and the glory. Amen
    1. Everything on this Earth belongs to Our Father. We simply use what is here.

May I invite you to read this prayer in many of the Bibles on our Website? An interpretation in the New Life Version (NLV) is very interesting.

Let Us See the Good in Everything

It is so very important to look for the Good and then see it, vision it in all our ways. We on a human level fail to do this on many occasions. This is not a judgment, but an observation. When we see Good, we direct our life to follow that course and that means happiness in all walks of life, for it means we make wise choices.

(Remember, any words capitalized means that we speak of Our Father's actions.)

Often our inability to see Good comes from the many faulty beliefs that we hold with the greatest one being jealousy. My mother taught me that was just plain meanness and she was and IS right. It is hidden far down the ladder of Jealousy and comes under "spite." That to me is a harsh word. Thus, I have never understood jealousy. It also comes under greed under its fourth meaning of stinginess. There you will find meanness again.

However, if we are brave enough to test our beliefs, we will find that TRUTH prevails and that our faulty beliefs are far, far from the TRUTH.

The action that will make the difference, we call CHANGE. It simply means we are to make an adjustment in our thinking and in our actions.

Change is difficult, because our subconscious mind controls most of our actions. When we try to make changes, it will show us what we believe and causes us to stick more firmly to the old belief. It does not want us to make a mistake.

Some say that the subconscious mind is a saboteur, that it sabotages us. That is an untruth, for it is the greatest servant we have. We are the ones who must be careful what we store there. It is wise to never say what we do not mean, for it will come back to have a rendezvous with us. This is our purpose for teaching TRUTH.

Television may be our nemesis for the subconscious mind responds best to pictures and that is what television is all about. We also have to understand the power of suggestion.

May we suggest, if you have the Science of Mind textbook, to read the Meditations for Self-Help that are important to you before you go to sleep at night. The subconscious works on the last thing you speak, hear, see, or listen to just before going to sleep. Try giving it that which you desire to experience.

May we also suggest that you remove words that takes you to the future, such as shall or will. Use the present tense, for Our Father lives in the PRESENT moment. Our Father knows nothing of "not." When we use not in a sentence, to Our Father the "not" is crossed out, such as, "I will not depart from Thee." Our Father hears, "I depart from Thee." Sounds crazy to you? No, my dears, He tells us to live in the present and to say what we really mean.

I sometimes wonder about the Ten Commandments as they are spoken using the word "not." Since it states that Moses broke the first set, what if the first set were spoken in the affirmative voice, as the Fifth commandment is affirmative. Have you given this a thought?

Also, in the back of the Science of Mind textbook, you find, "From the Teachings of Jesus" pages 427 to 482. In this teaching, we know that if we observe his teachings we can attain a consciousness equal to his. Study these often, for they are important to living.

A stained glass of The Last Supper inside a Catholic church in the Philippines

"The Last Supper" and the Events Afterwards

Most know that Jesus asked Peter and John to shop for the Passover Meal that Jesus and "The Twelve" planned. Peter and John had to buy wine, bread, bitter herbs, parsley, a special relish mixture that is called charoset. They also had to go to the Temple market and buy a spotless lamb.

Jesus was with these twelve Disciples during healings, messages and for other teachings, but time for meals together were rare. He longed to spend this time with them and told them, but a statement was made that one them would betray him. This statement upset the Disciples

During the meal, Jesus rose, wrapped a cloth around his waist, took a pan, poured water in it, and began to wash the feet of the Disciples. All were comfortable with this except Peter, but Jesus said to Peter that if he could not wash his feet then he would have no part in him. You see, it was unlawful for the Rabbis to wash the feet of their disciples.

The Rabbis could do everything for their disciples that the disciples did for their teacher, except one. The Rabbis could not wash their feet. However, with Jesus his action was the sealing of him taking care of his Disciples. Feet represent understanding. He said that they were to take care of each other.

Peter in many of his ways was still immersed in the Jewish teachings. If you understand Scripture, you will know that Scripture has inner meanings. It is unwise to take it literally. To understand it better if you are serious, The Metaphysical Bible Dictionary, and The Revealing Word, by Charles Fillmore are two books that should be in your Library.

Jesus had knowledge of everything that was going to happen to him, for his power was great. The reason Jesus had great Power was because he saw everything Holy. He let his twelve Disciples know that one of them would betray him. As Judas was sitting to the left of him in Peter's seat as an intimate friend, he told Judas to hurry and do what he was to do. Judas immediately left the room.

A few hours later, Jesus took his Disciples to the Garden of Gethsemane. He took Peter, James, and John up a little higher and left the remainder of Disciples below while he prayed. His prayed three times and between each one, he came to check on Peter, James, and John, but they were asleep. His prayers were very deep. In fact, the last one was so deep that his sweat became drops of blood.

To me, Rev. Pat, I believe he was very concerned about Peter, because he told Peter that the Devil had asked to sift his disciples like wheat and it was Peter for whom he turned and said,

"I am praying for you."

Peter represents faith and our faith is often tested when we need to use it the most.

The disciples did not see the soldiers come into the garden, because they were asleep. Jesus was the first to see them, but Peter went to his rescue and cut off the ear of one of the soldiers. Jesus put it back on and rebuked Peter for his actions.

The Twelve Disciples did not understand who Jesus was. When he was taken away to be tried, this hurt Peter very much. He could not understand it, or believe it even though Jesus told all of them what would happen to him. You see, in his Jewish training, he knew the Messiah would never serve, never suffer, and never submit and he saw Jesus do all three. Peter broke under this.

When Peter denied the Christ, I believe he was honest as the things he saw the Messiah do were all different from how he was raised. We both ask you, "Have you ever known someone and they do something that was out of his or her character? What did you think when that happened?"

The Twelve Disciples were all confused. They were not thinking of what Jesus had told them would happen about rising to life after the crucifixion, but Mary Magdalene went to the tomb to take care of the body, but The Christ was not there. She realized that he had risen. Much has happened since that day. Do you believe everything that happened in the Life of The Christ?

Spiritual sci fi scene with angel and cloaked figure

We Are a Funny People

We say we believe in Angels, yet we say there is no Heaven! In spite of that, we know that each of the Archangels are over one of the Heavens. I have asked how many Heavens are there, but the answer came that our world is not ready for that answer. However, the answer

is important to us. Do we believe in Angels, or is it that we do not believe?

In Psalm 91, it is very precise in speaking of our being taken care of if we simply allow Our Father's Holy Angels to take charge over us.

Read it from the Bible of your choice on our Website-

.
I know this takes much courage, faith, and understanding, but if we allow ourselves to let this happen we will see a difference in our life. It is very, very important that you call these Angels Our Father's Holy Angels and not just angels.

To begin, we must first follow the teachings of Yeshua (Jesus). His teachings are about Divine Love. I say Divine Love, because there is a difference in just plain love and Divine Love. I took a class once in which I will never forget the Professor. He was magnificent. In fact, I have spoken about it before.

Just plain love has many facets. When spoken, it can even include many kinds of emotions, such as hope, wishing, ecstasy, friendliness, even dependency and conquests. However, Divine Love has ONLY ONE facet. It is pure, comes from Our Heavenly Father, and is all-good. This is the reason our Newsletter, The Source Within speaks so often about Divine Love.

It is amazing that the Romans during and after Yeshua, were not pleased with him, because he spoke constantly about Love. They did not understand that the love he was teaching was a Divine Love, and that is our greatest lesson for all humanity. Let the first thing you do allow your love to come from Our Father and make sure it is pure.

The second thing that we are to do is to remove jealousy from our consciousness. Jealousy is a great no, no. In other words, one who jealous can absolutely be no part of our relationship with Angels.

The third thing is to make your heart pure, become quick spirited, and then seek the Angels for improving ourselves so that we can spread this connection to the Angels to others.

When the heart is pure, all desire to want power from the Angels thinking it will make you better than Our Father's other children flees from you. The power that the Angels give is never for show. This power is simply to assist us in becoming closer to Our Father, to return home to Him in mind and spirit.

Perhaps, it is already known that each person upon birth has a Guardian Angel who stays with us throughout our lifetime. Yet, there is also the offer from Psalm 91 to allow Our Father's Holy Angels to help us. Please understand that the Angels must get permission from Our Father first before they can do anything when we request help from them. The Angels know Our Father as The Holy One.

I know this sounds crazy, but they are Angels, not Creator, and they understand where they stand. Remember, if you know, that Lucifer was the most beautiful Archangel in Heaven and God praised him for his beauty, his wisdom and for all that he was doing. We know he could not stand praise, because it swelled his head and as a result he was thrown out of Heaven along with about one third of millions of Angels. Archangel Michael and Archangel Raphael are said to have been the Warrior Angels that worked with Our Father.

I know you would prefer that we not call them warriors, but they were the ones who protected the Throne of God and you can read about it in The Book of Enoch, Part 2. This book is not on our Bible Search on our Website, but you can go to this Website and read it, http://www.israel-a-history-of.com/book-of-enoch.html.

It would be wonderful for you if you would have a copy of your own in your library. Please realize when you read Enoch that people do not become Angels by being good. The Angels were created before humans and Our Father is still creating Angels.

There is so much to understand about Angels, and we want to show you how to invoke the seven Archangels. We have offered three Retreats on Angels. Our first was given in 1993 at World United Church in Norwalk, Connecticut and two dozen or more members and friends attended it. That was our introduction. Our second was given in 2011 in Stamford, Connecticut and attended by a dozen members and friends. We offered a third, but there were no attendees.

I pray Our Father will hold you close in the palm of His hands protecting you, guiding you and loving you in all your ways and when we offer another Angel Retreat, perhaps you will attend.

In Divine Love and Delight,

Rev. Pat

Thank you for reading our Newsletter, The Source Within.  I know we ask sometimes for you to do what you would prefer to omit, but be assured, it is very important.  Do you know that Jeremiah, a Prophet called by God when he was a child was given the message to ask the people of Jerusalem to return to God and they would not listen?  Thus, Jerusalem was destroyed.

We know that Jerusalem represents peace.  When I realized this, I ask Our Father if peace be destroyed.  His answer was that it is always in jeopardy.

Forgive us for requesting this of you.  Enjoy what we have told you about Jesus, which is not very much.  It would take many articles to cover his three-year walk.
