We know that a few of you have opened the Announcement sent to you.

However, we forgot to ask you to please turn on your speakers when you read each area.  Changes have been made.

I know many of you prefer not to read the Bible, but that is Our Father's Word and Dr. Holmes did read the Scriptures.

Our Teacher, Dr. Vetura Papke who was Dr. Hollmes Practitioner and was also called the Practitioner of Practitioners always talked about the Bible and how we are to read it daily.

One day we will teach you how she taught us and we want you to know

This is a most beautiful month.  I trust you will note it in your actions the entire month. It is wise to take action in giving thanks every moment in your life. Refuse to believe that only November 27, 2014 is the only time to give thanks to Our Father.

Let Him know that everyday counts. It is good to say each morning, "Thank you Father for bringing me through the night into another beautiful day that you have created just for me."

Then plan to live it in the most beautiful way that you can think to do. You can even ask for assistance of Our Father showing you what living a beautiful life looks like.

Matthew, One of "The Twelve"

Matthew was a Tax Collector, but he was also one of "The Twelve." This tells us something about what Jesus knows is also important. During the time of Jesus, it was that the Rabbis did not pay Temple tax, but just before Jesus was crucified, there were Tax Collectors who came to collect Temple tax from Jesus on his own Father's House.

He directed Peter to go and throw out a hand line to catch a fish and in the mouth of that, fish would be a coin that would pay his tax and Peter's tax. This is real friendship and love.

Matthew collected tax on the Via Maris Road in a booth. Jesus saw him there. "And as Jesus passed forth from thence, he saw a man, named Matthew, sitting at the receipt of custom: and he saith unto him, Follow me. And he arose, and followed him." Matthew 9:9

I want you to know that the other Disciples thought angrily about Matthew, because he was a Jew collecting taxes for Rome and making a profit on his people. You know the words, "History repeats itself. It is amazing that many are still today angry about taxes and paying them.

Let us return to the Metaphysical meaning of Matthew. Matthew represents the faculty of WILL. This thing of willingness is one of obedience. However, we as humans are stuck in disobedience. We tend to believe that becoming obedient is in some way putting ourselves under the control of another.

That is a mistaken idea. If we want to come to The Father and want Him to welcome our ideas and bring them into visible form, we must leave the dark ideas and bring them into the light. It is good as we go into silence to allow Our Father to ascend to us at the point of the forehead, make our affirmation, and become obedient to the guidance of The Christ. If you are sincere, you will after a while hear that still small voice.

The WILL however, is located "just back of the heart and stomach, at the point designated as the great solar nerve center,"[1] that we realize that God and God's laws are all.

WILL is the twin faculty of UNDERSTANDING. One cannot operate without the other. We as humans tend to believe in man and his laws rather than God and His Cosmic Laws. We must develop a willing heart. It is wise to allow the perfect way of the Christ to have Its way with us.

After affirming the WILL having its way with us, for perfect balance, we are to throw our attention down into our feet (symbol - understanding) and affirm that God in working through us in perfect understanding of the will of Our Father.

Our feet make contact with the earth. Know also, that our feet makes contact with the affairs of our world. It is wise to be obedient to the beautiful voice of Our Father. He speaks often to all of us, because He is for us.

Be Meaningful to Our Father

History is always plain and clear and this is one thing that appears to be constant. Our Father has His sights on the heart of every individual. Gender and Race has nothing to do with Our Father.

If you want to have a meaningful relationship with Our Father, the key is to always be honest, kind, loving, live in integrity, and remember to pray often.

Some still hold to the old worn out beliefs that a woman's place is in the home with her husband, children and caring for them.

When God created Adam, he said that it was not good that man be alone. Consequently, he created woman to be his partner-not owned by her partner.

Old antiquated ideas block wisdom. If you study further, you will realize that Jesus had many women disciples as well as men, but he never married.  His mission was to do the will of His Father who is God.  Marriage requires one to commit to the other.

The big problem is that few of us understand that the Bible is not to be taken literally.  It is written in symbols.  Therefore, it means that we must learn the Metaphysical meanings of the Scripture so we can become whole.

Mothers who hold to old worn out ideas, and raise boys unconsciously misunderstanding what the Bible means pass these ideas to their sons or grandsons. As a result, they carry on thoughts that God never created.

Learn to be meaningful to Our Father, love Him with all your heart, soul, and mind. Be a good partner.

In My Heart I Am Free

A Reprint of 11-03-1001 Article By Rev. Pat

Is it possible that we really live in an imprisoned-ridden nation? Do we truly confine ourselves to limitations? Or is it possible to really live free and be thankful for all that we now know and have? Answers to both questions may arouse many thoughts and ideas about freedom and our true understanding of it.

At any rate, it appears that it does not matter which way we come toward a thing or go away from it, we end up right back to the one Source-God.

There is no other way actually, since this world is a spiritual world and in our heart, we are free, even though we may not believe that as we keep trying to find shortcuts and illogical ways to a beautiful and happy life.

What if we really simply open our hearts and let God out and then open our consciousness and let God in? What will happen? Most may say to let God in our hearts, but Divine Intelligence is already in our hearts, so how can we truly let something in that is already in?

The fact is that we need to let all the garbage, the nonsense, the hogwash out and then we will find out that God really is in back of it "in smiling repose" just waiting to be awakened so this mighty Power can work as It was meant to work in our hearts.

With the opportunity to purchase a High School Advantage 2002 program, it allows me to come closer to Our Father by studying Algebra, Geometry, and Trigonometry.

How so? We believe that God is Scientific and if God is Scientific, then we all need to know this science of God. One man, mathematician Kurt Gödel has given an equation that proves his perception that God is mathematical and exists. Truly God may be saying, "I am mathematical, scientific, health, wealth, happiness - all that - and I am truly universal. Just tap into My reservoir of knowledge and learn of Me, then you are ready to receive My gifts." What a joy that truly is. Let us do it.

We know that we basically have the potential to be perfect. Therefore, perhaps to become perfectly knowledgeable of all the scientific things God has placed here would bring us closer to that potentiality.

We often say one thing and do another, but what would happen if we would do what we say? What would happen if we truly would harness the power of nature's forces in our lives?

In my thoughts, the belief comes that it is not in the world where the power is. It is not even being someone great, but in the actions surrounded or supported by a power that is greater than we are. Therefore, to understand God truly to the best of our ability, to truly open the heart and remove the nonsense, to do truly the thing that we say we will do, to truly open the mind, and let God in brings power.

The power is not physical. The power is not controlling in the world. The power of which I speak is freedom. It is the freedom to imitate the wisdom and love that the Master Teacher was able to make known to us, to reveal to us. It is a Higher Power, a God-given Power that says we never interfere in the life of another individual even of a little baby, a second old to an elder of the greatest age.

If we could just harness that force of "wanting" to be powerful and simply be the spiritual being that we are, perhaps this world would surprise us with its wonderful and magnificent benefits that we never even thought about in this lifetime.

However, that does not mean that we should collapse into a state of no return or negativism. It simply means that there is work to that we are to do on ourselves. Truly, our mode of travel to rid ourselves of the negative to the affirmative is in the mind. If we want to be totally free, then we are seeking to be totally spiritual and to be totally spiritual, we must be totally affirmative. To be totally affirmative, our words must be words of love, peace, harmony, and thankfulness expressed in everything that is given to us from a hug or kiss on the cheek to a million dollars or more. Then we can claim freedom.

Peace to You

"Be of good courage, and he shall strengthen your heart, all ye that hope in the Lord."  Psalm 31:24

There was a feeling this morning in me that I thought would never touch me in this lifetime. I felt scattered, upset, yes, even anger and that is something that has never been a part of my life. It was as if I could use ten Angels to help calm me.

Then it happened! I knew what "The Twelve" felt after Jesus was crucified. All of this happened, because I felt that our City Officials in Stratford were very inconsiderate and I allowed this to disturb me.

There were no signs telling us what to do. In fact, no one said anything about what to expect. There were only a lot of plastic cones blocking all the entrances to the train station and a Policeman sitting in his car.

I tell you this, because I felt it was disrespect to all the people who ride the trains. The trains provide transportation for many people, but it was as if they did not care.

A larger parking lot is under construction. One morning we came and all drop off spots were marked 'handicapped' with "No, No, No," on the signs. Where were people to park to drop off people? Did they not understand that people riding the train is what keeps them in business and brings money to the city?

Above, I said I knew how "The Twelve" felt and yes, I will explain. After the crucifixion of Jesus, they were without the live Presence of Jesus and the death really devastated all of them. With Peter, it was even worse.

Understand this, on a high mountain Peter, James and John saw Jesus talking with Moses, and Elijah. Peter seeing this was afraid. He asked Jesus, "Lord, it is good for us to be here. If you wish, I will put up three shelters-one for you, one for Moses and one for Elijah." (Matthew 17:4)[1]

Then a voice out of the clouds created by God said, "This is My beloved Son, in whom I am well pleased; hear ye him." (Matthew 17:5) This was before the crucifixion.

Then they saw him transfigured. His clothes shown brighter than anyone could bleach them. What would you do if you saw something like that? How would you feel? Their Master was gone (at least this is what they thought). What were they to do?

If you follow what I have told you about myself, then you can understand what was happening to "The Twelve." The Disciples after the crucifixion were chaotic, angry, sad, confused and far from being what The Master Teacher Jesus had taught them. This TRUTH-the Spirit of TRUTH is unable to flow through chaos! Jesus told them he would return, but who was listening?

Thus, he did return to them, but NO ONE recognized him. What caused this? When we become angry, we are unable to recognize TRUTH.

He finally got them to understand when they saw his wounds. He then told them he would send The Holy Spirit to them. He told them to go to The Upper Room (symbol-a higher state of consciousness attained through prayer or by going into the silence.) and wait. This is what we are to do when things are different from what usually happens in our life. We must pray in a higher state of consciousness.

(Something beautiful is happening!) I want you to know as I write this I am facing east, and the sky is just plain beautiful! I see the light from the sun shining through the clouds and they are reddish in color. It is beautiful.

Thus, in order to receive The Holy Spirit, feel Jesus and the Presence of The Father, we must go to a higher consciousness. When the Disciples did this, The Holy Spirit fell upon them and they were back with Jesus and his tender teachings in consciousness. TRUTH is beautiful, but it does call for calm, serenity, peace, and TRUTH. It would be wonderful if the whole world would abide in peace and serenity, but Our Father will never force anyone to love Him. It is for each of us to choose.

I love you. We love you.

Rev. Pat

Symbols

May we bring to your attention the idea of symbolism? We, meaning Rev. Fred and myself, have read the Science of Mind Textbook about three dozen times or more, yet I never paid any attention to the word, "symbol" or "symbolism" until Something brought my attention to it.

Last month, I wrote an article and spoke about symbolism and that the Bible is filled with symbols, but as we have failed to pay attention, you may have, too. You can find these words in the textbook.

Symbol              Page 155.2

Symbol              Page 253.1

Symbol              Page 483.1

Symbolic           Page 064.3

Symbolism        Page 463.4

Symbolize         Page 037.1

Symbolize         Page 449.5

Symbolized       Page 155.2

Symbolized       Page 473.1

Symbolizes       Page 410.3

Symbolizes       Page 462.3

Symbolizes       Page 471.6

Symbolizes       Page 484.3

Symbols            Page 063.1

Symbols            Page 313.4

This is fantastic! I have listed them here so that you can read them for yourself. Please understand that the symbol, whatever is there has a Metaphysical meaning and unless you research the Metaphysical meaning of the word, you still are missing a lot of information that will give you understanding.

Thus, in the hardback copy New Thought Terms and their meanings by Ernest Holmes, symbolism is said to be a psychological term meaning "The impressions of the unconscious thinking, where the real meaning of the idea is transformed into something else so that it would not be recognized for what it really is. This appears largely in dreams; in unconscious sayings, etc."

However, in the soft back "A Dictionary of New Thought Terms" by Ernest Holmes the word symbolism is omitted.

In the Revealing Word by Charles Fillmore we find that Symbols "Represent steps in the masonry of the soul. All scriptural symbols have to do with the spiritual progress of man. In the Bible, every name stands for an idea and has a meaning that gives a clue to the symbol."

He continues with, "A symbol loses its usefulness when man clings to it as the reality and fails to see the Truth that it represents."

You may ask, "For what reason are we so concerned about symbolism?" If you fail to read the Bible, words from Our Father so that you can understand Him and His Universe and the Bible is full of symbols, how will you ever know if no one tells you?

Therefore, the two books above would be an excellent addition to your Metaphysical Home Library. Let us take the word "feet." Jesus washed the feet of His Disciples after the Passover meal. The Revealing Word says, "Feet - represent the phrase of the understanding that connects us with the outer of manifest world and reveals the right relationship toward worldly conditions in general. Jesus washing the feet "represent the denial of materiality is illustrated in Jesus' washing of the apostles' feet (John 13:5-10). The word "apostle" is the Greek word for "disciple." Jesus was Aramaic, spoke Ancient Aramaic and was a Rabbi.

Many today are trying to find out where Jesus was from age 12 to 30. It is my opinion that he was with His Father in preparation for His Ministry. When he taught the Rabbis in the Temple, they were trying to figure out how he knew so much. Most Rabbis teach what other Rabbis teach, but Jesus spoke with authority from His Father in Heaven. How much more authority would he need to lead people who were disobedient?
