If you seek a pleasant life, it is smart to begin each day telling Creator how much you love Him, give thanks for the care He gives you each day. It would be a wonderful idea if you would read Psalm 116 every day and the Seek FIND The Bible for All People, CEV is the best as it is written very affirmatively. In fact, the verses are more like nineteen affirmations.

We can read them and hear ourselves as we read them aloud like no other Bible records the Psalms.

We suggest that where you read the word "will" simply drop it as this is the future and we always want to stay in the present, the here, and now.

This faculty of UNDERSTANDING is such a wonderful aspect of mind. However, it is essential that we understand it in order for life to work well for us. King Solomon operates in this same understanding. His words are, "With all thy getting, get understanding."

Dr. Ernest Holmes follows with the same statement, "Since an understanding of any law must pass first through our conscious mind before we can make use of it, it follows that with all our getting, we should get understanding."[1]

If we want to understand our mind, it is good to listen to Jesus, as his teaching is a metaphysical science. Thus, the Wisdom of Science of Mind seeks to make this even clearer. Pure ideas and pure logic rules here and to succeed in this faculty, we too, are to rule with pure ideas and pure logic.  The position of Thomas in the body is the forehead. 

What are pure ideas and what do we derive from them? First, let us look at the word "pure," this word means that it is free from elements that are inessential or superfluous. Therefore, our ideas if we are speaking of goodness, then anything that relates to badness we delete. If all your ideas are pure then only that which is unnecessary to make your ideas impure we delete. Everything relevant to pure ideas remain.

If we spend too much time in things that have nothing to do with Our Father, and fail in spending time in things such as peace, joy, and an UNDERSTANDING Life, then we are apt to live vicariously and may fail to live our own life spiritually. If we read too much and fail to use our brain to think we will certainly fall into lazy habits of thinking. Think! Think and think some more!  

This faculty of UNDERSTANDING may be difficult to realize its entire meaning, but Our Father knows all. Seek Him every day and give thanks to Him every moment in life.

Please understand that if we want to receive spiritual consciousness, we are to make every effort to attain it. Jesus told us to ask for what we want, "Ask, and it shall be given you; seek, and ye shall find; knock, and it shall be opened unto you."

This is a very simple method, but how many of us truly ask? This simple method is one way of UNDERSTANDING.  

When Jesus walked the Earth, he was unafraid to say what he knew.  We are to practice the same thing, but first, we are to KNOW.  Knowledge comes first, then understanding which is followed by wisdom.

When we understand TRUTH, we are to be unafraid to explain it gently and harmoniously.

Remember, it was Jesus who called forth these faculties and if we want to develop them and awaken is us, then let us get as close to Jesus as we possibly can through prayer and meditation.

Listen to what Cora Fillmore says, "Divine understanding is the perceiving power of the mind. Divine understanding is the eyes of its twin faculty, divine will."[2]

God loves each of us and yes, He IS a loving Father. He cares for us and He guides us, but often times we fail to obey, to follow through.  

The next time you hear a still small voice and it tells you what to do, obey it, and learn what happens when we pay attention. Our Father really does guide us every moment, but it is up to each of us to do what He says.

Poppycock?

Most of us when we have failed to experience the wonderful connection to Our Father and someone tells us of their experiences we generally believe it to be poppycock.

We want to find out today if it truly is poppycock. We here, at Universal Wisdom Fellowship are about TRUTH. The greatest way to get to TRUTH is through meditation, prayer, and study.

This idea of Our Father, The Holy One as His Angels know Him truly is one that helps, comes to the aid of, and reveals TRUTHS according to our level of understanding.

I know this may be hard to understand, but He truly is our friend. When we are sincere, He comes to our aid. If we want to know what to do, Jesus said, "You have not asked for anything in this way before, but now you must ask in my name. Then it will be given to you, so you will be completely happy."[1] The key is this, 'Many times, we ask for things, forget what we ask for, and never listen to the answer.' The other key is that Jesus said "in my nature." What does he mean by this? This is symbolic, which means that the Scripture is expressing in symbols. The Bible is full of symbols.

Jesus said, "In my nature" and according to Charles Fillmore he means, "The intellect's name for God. Nature is the servant of mind, and when lawful thoughts are enthroned in consciousness nature restores the natural harmony existing between Spirit, soul, and body. When men asserts his divine supremacy he dominates nature."[2]

In other words, we are to think like Jesus-God is all there is! There is nothing else. When we realize that and ask for what we desire and if that desire is good, only God can appear. It is just that simple! He is Creator!

When we come to Our Father, we are to come as a child, mind open, heart full of love for Him and ready to receive. We are to come asking for what we yearn, and hungry for understanding. These are good words and a good beginning, and perhaps we can practice in this manner.

However, if we are one that fails to see through our problem and can only see the problem or blame someone else, then the problem is what remains, and we can see The Father is nowhere.

The change in each of us to do this comes with practice. It is NEVER poppycock to KNOW The Father and submit to The Father. There is nothing wrong with us if we fail to realize this, but the answer is familiar. Do you remember the story about a young violinist who wanted to know how to get to Carnegie Hall? The man who answered him said, "Practice, my son, practice."  

I takes practice to become Spiritual. It never comes because of a particular race or gender. All have to spend much time practicing.

I pray I have not offended anyone after reading this article. I am certain all of you have night dreams or visions in response to asking questions before going to sleep at night. Sometimes, those answers come directly from the Godhead and it is wise to give credence to them.

A question evidently was asked as a result of a dream. The answer came while half awake, "Yes "Yes, it is disrespect to accept anything other than YOUTH, HEALTH, PEACE, HAPPINESS, or WISDOM. Each of My Father's children is created in the image of My Father and after His likeness. You are exactly right. Hair is on the h0ead for a purpose.

These words remind us that our body is the Temple of the Holy Spirit, thus we are to make sure we keep it well. "You surely know that your body is a temple where the Holy Spirit lives. The Spirit is in you and is a gift from God. You are no longer your own."[1]

Think about it. Many of the Biblical characters were youthful! Your teacher, Dr. Vetura Papke was right about Moses! When you see the Hollywood version of The Ten Commandments, Moses looks gray, old, and decrepit and he was NOT like that!  

He was youthful, because his Creator IS and ALWAYS IS YOUTHFUL!  

Bawl heads are not Our Father. Tattooed skin is NOT Our Father.  

Grey hair is NOT My Father. Remember these words throughout your life on Our Father's First Heaven-Earth.

I say too, "Think about it." Either we understand who Our Father is, or we believe none of what the Scriptures say. In the process, think about Part Five in the back of the textbook The Science of Mind on Teachings from the New Testament.

One year in our Wisdom of Science of Mind Classes a very negative student responded to a statement about no one has to be sick to make a transition. This student frightened all of us when she jumped up and yelled, "Well, what will we die of?"  

If you think like this, then forget it. Making transitions is God's business. Our business is to live! We at Universal Wisdom Fellowship say, "ENJOY IT!"

Life constantly changes, and it is no different with Universal Wisdom Fellowship.  Change is constant, but Spirit always remains the same. It cannot change.

You may wonder how this is so. It is simple. You can always depend upon Our Father to love you no matter what the circumstances even though you may fail to see it. Our Father is Limitless, Timeless, Formless, and yet creation is eternally continual.

These statements may require much study to believe, but they all are true. This simply touches the tip of the iceberg.

To study with us will allow you to understand and will bring you closer to Our Father, Jesus and The Holy Spirit.

Be happy that change within man/woman takes place, for if it were permanent, we would forever remain unintelligent.   

Life Is Joyful

Upon awakening, these words were on my lips, "Life is such a joy." Thus, I have repeated them every moment, "Life is such a joy." That is an affirmation that everyone can come to believe if a person plants it in the subconscious mind daily. It is up to each of us to make it so.

It is contradictory to believe that life can be any other way, particularly when we say that Our Father is Love, Peace, Joy AND Life, yet we act as if somebody is lying. We call people (God's Children) all kinds of names, talk negatively about them, judge them, steal from them, and try to change this life to appear negative. The question is, "For what reason?"

Surely, we all are aware that these actions take us away from becoming. In this beautiful life, we can excel and we can do what Charles Fillmore states about what angels metaphysically considered, "is the projection into consciousness of a spiritual idea direct from the fountainhead, Jehovah" (Metaphysical Dictionary p.52). We can allow all our thought to be spiritual ideas.

It may be that mostly, we all look for pleasures and it is wiser and erudite to look for pleasant things to think upon each moment. This is what Psalm 1 says: "1. God blesses those people who refuse evil advice and won't follow sinners or join in sneering at God. 2. Instead, they find happiness in the Teaching of the Lord, and they think about it day and night."[1]

Worship the Lord God and let sweetness be in your thoughts. This alone will make your life joyful. No one on Earth is created to be sad. We all are created to be happy, joyful, delightful, charming, and pleasant. Let us begin today to practice these wonderful traits. Yet, always remember, "It is YOUR choice."
