Bring Love Into the Dark Moments of Life

"No matter how dark the moment, love and hope are always possible." George Chakiris

Ministers

Does life sometimes appear dark and you do not know what to do? This is a time that says love is needed. You can bring that love into your life by simply looking at the wonders that surround you in this beautiful world.

It would be wise to pray the prayer the way King David prayed when the men of Ziph tried to betray him to Saul. This is what King David said, "Come with great power, O God, and save me! Defend me with your might! Oh listen to my prayer." Psalm 54: 1, 2 (Living Bible Edition)

This is the prayer of King David a man after God's own heart and even such a man had "dark moments" in his life, but he never allowed it to stop his search for God's Heart. It appeared that it drove him to a greater search for God. He wanted to know what it was like to see Our Father face to face.

However, he was told that no one could see the face of Our Father and live, but the Scriptures do say that Moses and Jacob saw God. How could this be possible, for it is impossible to see His Face.

One way may be to see the very Essence of Our Father in every person you meet. Another may be to see Our Father face to face when you embrace His thoughts in your own heart. However, how would it be if you meditated with Him for 6 weeks, 42 days everyday at the same time and He came to you, spoke with you and in so doing made you feel His very Spirit? Would you feel you have met Him face to face?

Dr. Ernest Holmes in his Science of Mind Textbook says, "Through right thinking, he (meaning man) is able to uncover the appearance of imperfection and reveal the Perfect Idea." "Behold, thou, my face forevermore." (SOM Textbook, Page 131 paragraph 1.)

We have the opportunity to think only Good every moment of every day and it is possible to do so. It would mean withdrawing yourself from anyone who speaks negatively more than they do affirmatively.

It would mean that the heart and the head are united-one.

When Our Father was kind enough to give us dominion over our own life and over the animals and over all the Earth, He wanted each of us to love Him with all our heart, soul and mind.  "So God, created humans to be like himself; he made men and women.  God gave them his blessing and said:  Have a lot of children!  Fill the earth with people and bring it under your control.  Rule over the fish in the ocean, the birds in the sky, and every animal on the earth."

(Genesis 1:27-28 CEV)

However, He did not mean that we have dominion to destroy what He created.

Some of the following words below make me sad.  Since He has written what He wants us to do, it would be wonderful if we would seek to carry out His wishes.

Listen to His words, "Every animal in the forest belongs to me, and so do the cattle on a thousand hills.  I know all the birds in the mountains, and every wild creature is in my care.  If I were hungry, I wouldn't tell you, because I own the world and everything in it. Psalm 50:10-12 (CEV)

It seems to me that we should know better, for He did not mean that we could get rid of the REAL animals He created and then replace them with the artificial.  We do not know much.  Yet, if we would trust Our Father, worship Him, praise His name because He is Holy, then perhaps He would tells us His many secrets.

Kabbalah tells us that if we want to become spiritual, we must relinquish, renounce and give up reason.  There is nothing on Earth that supports spirituality.  This may sound wrong, crazy and even off-center, but if you question Our Father the answers will come.  Remember, never ask Our Father "why".  It is wise to use "what, for what reason, when, where, how or show me."

James, One of "The Twelve"
By Rev. Pat

This is our fourth Disciple of Jesus, but I have to tell you that I awakened this morning (June 27, 2014) at 3:45 A.M. to hear these words, "You presented the material to My Children incorrectly." My mind immediately referred to James, the Disciple that represents WISDOM.

You have no idea what it feels like to hear these words and know that they come from The Father, the One I serve and allow His Presence to speak through me. You see, each Newsletter that you receive, I ask before it is published, "Is it alright? May I publish it?" I wait for the "yes" answer and then hit the button to continue.

Now, I know that I have to ask, "Is it presented correctly." You may be wondering why this happened. This is what many parishioners, members and friends may have never heard or understood.  "For unto whomsoever much is given, of him shall be much required: and to whom men have committed much, of him they will ask the more." Luke 12:48. Thus, Our Father says that because I serve Him, I must present myself and EVERYTHING else correctly that involves Him and me-the one question I failed to ask.

Therefore, what is the problem? You see, when Jesus called "The Twelve", he called Peter first, even though Peter and his brother Andrew were fishing together. For that reason, we know that "FAITH is the first requirement in order to become intimate with Our Father. Jesus then called Andrew. We need a faithful STRENGTH to accompany our FAITH. When he came to James and John, they were called together, for we must never use LOVE without using WISDOM or WISDOM without LOVE. That is where the problem lies.

Please understand that Love and by that I mean DIVINE LOVE is powerful, but runs astray if WISDOM is forgotten. That is our biggest problem in life today. We fail to use LOVE and WISDOM together. WISDOM alone is cold, or can be cold and LOVE alone can becomes promiscuous. It is wise to get the understanding that we need in order to abide in Our Father's world safely, kindly and appropriately.

Today, we are trying to use Love free from using Wisdom and it never works according to the Divine Plan. It is the Divine Plan that is so very important. Without it, we are out of control and that may be what is happening in our United States today. We have forgotten what LOVE is, what it entails and how to use it. When we run into problems, it appears that instead of trying to understand the problem, we run in the opposite direction and incite others with our desires. A wonderful book to assist anyone is The Spiritual Art of DIALOGUE by Robert Apatow. We use this book in one our classes. It helps each of us to master our communication for personal growth, in relationships and in our workplace. "Competitors enter into a dialogue to 'win.' Friends enter into a dialogue because they seek the truth." ("The Spiritual Art of Dialogue.")

Please know and understand that in all our dialogue integrity is most important and so is obedience. Now on to understanding James, who represents DIVINE WISDOM. The Proverbs tells us that the beginning of WISDOM is knowledge, yet a little bit of knowledge is dangerous. About what WISDOM does Jesus speak? It is about obeying Our Father, keeping the Commandments, understanding The Law, Precepts, Judgments and knowing the Testimony of the Lord. (Read Psalm 19:7-11)

However, it is WISDOM that we are to obtain and that may be the reason for our delay. WISDOM means that we are to work in order to acquire it.

We as a people appear to be very lazy and would prefer that if we do just one thing right, whatever it is that Our Father requires of us it will be handed down from gentle hands quickly and easily. I recall the words of Dr. Vetura Papke, "Jesus is not our errand boy."

Jesus led us in all his actions and teachings what to do to receive Eternal Life. Yet, still today, we seek to make those actions and teachings mean, do and say it the way we want it to be.  Perhaps, that is the reason for our catastrophes today or could it be that it is the Prophecy of Israel (in the Bible) that is taking place.

It is WISDOM, which requires us never to put Our Father to the test. Let me explain. Do you believe that Our Father is harsh? Do you say, "If Our Father loves me so much, then why is He allowing this to happen to me?"

The word "why" is offensive and defensive. It is wise to use words such as what, when, for what reason, where and how when questioning Our Father. He is BOSS!

When "man" was created in the image and after the likeness of "Them", he gave "man" dominion over all things and over himself. It may be that we do not understand this, or we fail to use our dominion wisely.

When our earth mother says, "You may not harm another person just because he harmed you." What do you say about her? Do you think she is harsh? Do you obey mom? On the other hand, do you do what

you want to do?

The followers of Jesus, "The Twelve" covers all our actions, thoughts and words. We need only to discover what they said, how they acted and the reason they left everything to follow their Lord. We can do that through the study of the Bible. We here at Universal Wisdom Fellowship can assist you in that.

WISDOM? It sounds wonderful. The word is beautiful and it is filled full with Grace. Check it out in the College Thesaurus and check it out in Proverbs. Just remember, James and John were called together and are called "The Sons of Thunder." King Solomon tells us that WISDOM is the primary thing and that we are to get it, but in all our getting it is wise to get understanding.

A Smile

You may see a smile as something friendly, but there is far more to a smile than just friendliness.  The key to youthfulness is to smile.  Frowns use a lot of muscles and causes the face to look grim.

When you smile, fewer muscles are used and those muscles cause the face to look young.  Test what was just said by using a mirror on a table as you pass.  First, look at yourself in passing with frowns on your face and notice how much older you look.  Then, look at yourself while passing with smiles on your face and notice the difference.  You look younger!  Thus, some say it takes 43 muscles to frown and just 17 to smile.

Keep those smiles on your face until it becomes habit and you will always look young no matter the age.  Age has nothing to do with your years on Earth, it has to do with how you see yourself inside and how you feel about Creator.  Love Him?  Let Him know by smiling.

Our Approach to God

  1. Look at God as Divine Intelligence(Psalm 95)
  2. Feel this Divine Intelligence surging through your mind as you think and know that it is the Presence of God, an approach to God which has all the elements of personality, such as choice, volition and initiative, as well as love, joy, peace, wisdom, intelligence and harmony.  It becomes personal and intimate with the one who tunes in and operates the law righteously-use the law to think right, do right and be right-in other words, to think constructively, do that which is constructive and to be constructive in living.
  3. Through knowledge of Infinite Intelligence, use that knowledge wisely to gain understanding.

God is the only Power in the Universe. He is ALL there is. He is One to honor, praise, love and know intimately. The words I speak are always perfect, pure, and powerful. I now ask that this wonderful Lord God Almighty bring forth into my life joy, peace, and Divine Love accompanied by faith in this One Power. I accept the many blessings and know that my life is now one with Our Father. With delight in my life and Divine Love in my heart, I know all is well with my soul. I give thanks for this wonderful life and let it be. Selah. Shalom. Amen and so it is.
