Peace on Earth and Goodwill Toward Everyone

Christmas is the most beautiful time of the year. The beautiful lights, the decorated homes and businesses make this a most wonderful time. It would be so wonderful if each of us would take the time to decorate our hearts with joyous Divine Love. To cast from our thoughts those things that are different from Our Father that we may be closer to Him and more like Him would be great. May we suggest that you see the Christ in everyone you meet and those that come to mind no matter their Religion, race, creed, color or Country? Once we know what it feels like to be loving, jolly and peaceful, let us carry those feelings into the New Year and the months to come. We trust you have plans that will brighten your day, your month and into the New Year.

We Are Here to Please God Our Father
Have you ever thought about the fact that we as Our Father's children are here to please God Our Father? We are also here to entertain Him meaning we are here to consider Him, think about Him, and give pleasant and pleasing thoughts to Him. In other words, we are here to contemplate Him.
However, we get it all mixed up and do the exact opposite. We think we are here to entertain each other, to please each other, to satisfy each other and to delight each other. All of that is great, but WHO are we really here to delight, to satisfy and to please? Why it is Our Father.
We find in Proverbs, "When a man's ways please the Lord, he maketh even his enemies to be at peace with him." (Proverb 16:7 KJV) These are powerful words and words that it would be wise to obey. It takes just a little effort to give thanks, praise Our Father and to magnify Him. We know Jesus to be the light of the world. He gave a delightful and inspiring message on the Mountain to his disciples called, "The Sermon on the Mount". Understand that anyone that came to him and believed upon him was called a disciple. However, The Twelve were those he taught to tell the people about him after he left.
Let us all be wise and read Matthew, Chapters 5, 6 and 7. It would be wiser to read it slowly and think on what Jesus is saying to the people. Then practice whatever is good to do. That is how we come to The Lord and to love Our Father, to praise Him and be joyous to His children.

What Does God Want of Us? Many may have wondered through the years just what Our Father, God wants us to do. Let us say it this way and understand what we hear. It does not matter how much we know. It does not matter that we are able to repeat everything Dr. Holmes taught in our study of the Science of Mind. It does not matter how much Wisdom we pull out and speak on what we know. What matters is what is in the heart! What does God, Our Father feel in our heart? If we still have envy for another. If we still have anger that we express. If we still have hate in us. We still do not understand what we know. King Solomon in all his wisdom says to us, "In all your getting, get understanding." Thus, do we understand that it is not how big a house we have, how many boats we have, how many cars we have, how much money we have or anything about possessions. It is what is in our heart that Our Father and the Lord Jesus Christ feel that matters and counts. Do you have Divine Love in your heart? Is it active? When Jesus spoke about the poor always will be with us, he was not speaking about money. He was telling us that there will always be those who are "poor in the Spirit" of Our Father and of the Lord Jesus Christ that will be with us. When "things" matter greater than our loving Our Father and loving the Lord Jesus Christ, we have misplaced understanding of Divine Love, Wisdom, Strength and Faith. Remember, it is not what we know that brings us closer to Our Father. It is not "good" deeds that we do for our family, friends and others that bring us closer. Deeds cannot buy us Our Father's love. We already have it. Good deeds cannot buy us position. Our thoughts take us there. I know this sound harsh, but we must understand that it is the Divine Love that we give to Our Heavenly Father FIRST and then to everyone we meet in mind and in life, that brings us closer to Our Father in Heaven. Jesus gave us two laws to follow. These two are much easier to remember than the Ordinances, Judgments, Precepts and many other Laws that the Hebrews kept. Jesus said, Love the Lord Thy God with all thy heart, with all thy mind and with all thy soul and the second is liken unto it. Love thy neighbor as thyself and it is this one that keeps us from loving Our Father totally. It would be wise if we began to test our love for our self. We here at Universal Wisdom Fellowship in the Month of February will continue the Series: Love Is for a second year. A practice will be given to you for the four Mondays in February 2014. We look forward to your joining us. Have a wonderful Christmas, In Divine Love and Delight, Rev. Pat |

Global Peace, Joy and Goodwill
By Reverend Dr. Fred Ogletree
A Reprint of December 23, 2001
In celebration of this Christmas Season and beyond, I invite you to affirm and embody this meditation: Infinite Spirit, bring peace and goodwill to all peoples. Direct the pathway of every nation into unity, happiness, peace and joy. Remove the thought of fear, hate and anxiety and greed from the mind of humankind. Let every thought of hate be turned to love, every thought of fear be turned to faith, every thought of doubt be turned to certainty, every thought of war be turned to peace and understanding. Heal the wounds and hurts of the world and bring peace, joy and goodwill upon the face of planet earth.
I shall always cherish and nourish the feeling in my heart when we named our church community World United. To me, it represents all people regardless of race, creed, present or former religious background.
Ho often I remember the warm, friendly, neighborly, respected relationship our former minister Dr. Hornaday, shared with two distinguished spiritual giants, world renowned Rabbis, Rabbi Will Kramer and Rabbi Edgar F. Magnin. Both were guest speakers at Sunday morning and Wednesday evening services at Founders Church of Religious Science, our former
church.
In my opinion, true heart to heart global diversification among leaders and all peoples will bring about lasting peace, goodwill, joy and respect to all concerned.
I believe love, peace and joy are all part of the fruits of the Holy Spirit in us. The world and communities today are in desperate need of joy. We have but to look at the faces of those we meet every day to realize how few people have discovered either the real meaning of joy, peace, goodwill, or where it may be found. I believe joy and goodwill are instinctive with every human being. They are a divine heritage to be claimed and used. No person or thing, no outside circumstance or condition can give them to us, just as nothing can take them away from us.
Sorrow and sadness are in the world. It may seem strange how this can be if God's will for the world is joy, peace and goodwill. When we see life aright, we know that none of this is due to any neglect on God's part. The tragic state of affairs is the result of humankind's own lack of vision and failure to direct its life in accordance with the divine purpose. When negative moods weigh us down and threaten our gladness of Spirit, instead of depending upon some person or condition to roll away the stone of our discontent, we may ourselves apply the divine stabilizer.
Those we depend upon may fail us, material pleasures may prove unsatisfactory, and the happy hours we anticipated are, many times, delayed. But the joy, peace, goodwill within, that we have sensed in our own consciousness or springing from an indwelling Spirit, the attribute we may carry into every day experiences, is the joy, peace and goodwill that no one can take from us. It is a fullness of joy, peace and goodwill, where there is no room for bitterness, resentment, quick to anger or self-pity. If in God's presence there is this fullness of joy, peace and goodwill, we withdraw ourselves form Good every time we are gloomy, or sad, worried or discouraged.
It is true the Master Jesus was sad at times. He even wept at the tomb of Lazarus, but it could not have been because His friend was dead. In just a few minutes, the living Lazarus stepped forth and was restored to his family. Many times we have felt like weeping over the ignorance or the suffering of others, while all the time our permanent sense of peace, joy and goodwill has remained undisturbed. It was this sympathetic quality in Jesus that saddened Him and caused His tears. Have we, as the Master did, always given our principle with our compassion?
It is said that the bluebird of happiness loses its brilliance when it is selfishly caged. It glows with heavenly hue only when it is freely released to bring joy, peace and goodwill to another.
I accept and claim the keynote for this December and beyond is joy, peace and goodwill, ushering in, as it does, our celebration of Christmas and the Gospel that has re-echoed in the heart of humanity for centuries: "Behold, I bring you good news of a great joy!" Truly, Christmas is no legend, but a revelation, a pilgrimage of the mind to a manger in the soul where "unto us born a Savior, which is the Christ Spirit with in each of us."
The greatest message of the ages was broadcast on the first Christmas morning, but only the wakeful, watchful shepherds were attuned to receive it. The heralding star shone vividly in the East, but only the three wise men followed it, bringing their gifts to present to the newborn King.
The song is still being broadcast, with its good news of great joy, peace and goodwill. The star still gleams through the darkness as an eternal light, a guiding radiance pointing the way and illumination the peace where the young child lay. At this shrine of our divinity, we may daily offer our gifts-the gold of understanding, the frankincense of our joy, peace and goodwill and the myrrh of our accomplishment. If we do this, the Christ Spirit will unfold within us until we too shall grow in wisdom and in stature and in favor with God and humankind.
I believe, as never before, our soul should vibrate to the joy, peace and goodwill of sharing. The world needs our gifts of love and blessings of healing, of encouragement and of prospering. Let us breathe into them this message: From my Spirit to your Spirit, more understanding of Infinite joy, peace, goodwill and the need to make it universal.
In Love and Light,
Rev. Fred

Part VII-- Worship Worship Our Father in the Beauty of Holiness December, Part VII B Put on True Holiness or Wholeness through Beauty By Rev. Pat I have found that there is a lot of work to be done if we allow the true Holiness of Our Father to flow through us. This True Holiness is "wholeness" and it is to flow through beauty. The most significant part of beauty is how you understand Our Father's sense or perspective of beauty. Beauty is what gives emphasis to the problem, for beauty is generally held through the eye of the beholder. What is beauty to one may be the exact opposite to another. Thus, it is wise for each of us to understand what beauty is to Our Father. It is splendor, attractiveness, attraction, magnificence, magnetism, charisma and that wonderful word, charm. These are the wonderful names we want to embrace in our own personality, that we may begin putting on this True Holiness. To put on wholeness you must keep the door of the heart open to Our Father every day and every night. Remember to embrace youth, for Our Father never ages, because He beholds beauty. You may ask, "If I have Our Father constantly on my mind, how will I ever get anything done? That I cannot answer. All I know is that when you fail to keep Him on your mind, you get nothing done and when you do, EVERYTHING is easily done. A good exercise would be to take a ride on the Coast line or to the mountains if you are near any or even in a desert and look at how Our Father had decorated every area. Stop the car and get out and take a good look. As you look around begin to feel the magnetism that you are looking at and know that ONLY OUR FATHER could have done this. The desert is particularly beautiful and the land is very fertile. Many see the desert as barren, but that is far from Truth. To put on True Holiness will give you what is needed to live in Our Father's Tabernacle or Our Father's Holy hill. King David asked this question of Our Father in Psalm 15. Maybe you would like to read it. Is it possible for us to drop anger, hate of other races, prejudices of all kinds and practice, Divine Love, Divine Peace and fill our mind with Divine Joy that Heaven may be alive on Earth? That is the answer to King David's question of Our Father in Psalm 15 and what we are to do to put on True Holiness through beauty, God's Beauty, which is wholeness. What I am saying is when Our Father really gets to know you, understand your beautiful heart He will truly protect you, guide you and guard you. He will tell you when things are harmful for you. He will let you know what to do, but remember that He has given you authority over your own life and can never interfere with what you want to do. He gladly agrees to your desires. If you were part of the January 1, 2010 to December 31, 2010 Truth of You Statements, you know what He thinks of you, for every one of those statements and the Meditations came directly from Our Divine Father. He has told you in 261 statements exactly who you really are. Now it is up to you to practice it. This Completes Our Articles On: Worship Our Father in the Beauty of Holiness I, Rev. Pat, have enjoyed the words coming through To me from Our Father. We Trust You Have Enjoyed These Articles on Worship and That You Are More Enlightened Concerning The Holiness of The Holy One, Blessed Is He Copyright © 2013 by Universal Wisdom Fellowship, Inc . |

Ask and Believe-That Is How We Receive
By Reverend Dr. Pat Ogletree
We tend to ask for things, some spiritual, some involving the economy, some on finances, some on politics and some on health. The answer appears in our mind. It comes in different forms, but how do we address it? Some of us say, "No; I cannot change from what I am doing. It is too hard."
This idea of asking has been in mind for many years. We are to know first, then understand next and then use Divine Wisdom last, in whatever we do. Even when we use the affirmative statement, it would be wise to keep in mind that we are to understand what we are doing. Also the one thing that is important when we are praying for an answer to "a" problem or for many problems in our life is to ask that it come in a form that you can understand and believe.
If your thoughts are negative, your answer will come to you in a negative way. How else can it happen? Thus, the first thing to do is to pray that Our Father or Jesus Christ will show us how to think positively affirmative. Next, ask that the answer come to us gently, lovingly, peacefully, joyfully, kindly, easily and quickly. Then believe that Our Father loves us and answers us always.
In the Wisdom of Science of Mind, it is wise to know that there has to be some kind of Religious Study, because this kind of thinking is what Our Father sent Jesus to Earth to teach. If that is troublesome for you, then I know not what to say to you.
Have you searched for an answer to the reason that you are here on Earth? On the other hand, are you thinking that Our Father sent you here; therefore, He is going to take care of you so you do not have to do anything. Wise up O lovely one. Do you recall that He gave you authority over your OWN LIFE? Therefore, you are to free yourself from fear and simply trust Him. Do not be afraid, just believe and whatever ills you may have or something that troubles you will leave.
In Divine Love and Delight,
Rev. Pat

O My Lord, delight my soul. Make me feel and know all about the Christ Child that is about to be born and is coming alive, alert and awake in me. Make my soul jump for joy as John the Baptist jumped in the womb of his mother when Mary, the Mother of Jesus came near. I know that The Lord comes where everything is free from dust and is orderly. Thus, I make everything beautiful, charming and splendid and I make my mind new, loving and joyful. For this My Lord, I give thanks. I let it be and so it is. Amen. Shalom. Selah.
