The Oil of Life

What is this "Oil of Life" that was introduced in the Truth of You Statements in October, 2010? It has not been addressed since that time and it has come to me that it must be defined and described.

Oil was used for many purposes in the time of the Prophets from Genesis through Revelations and by Jesus sixteen times. Also, Jesus at his birth was given the oils of frankincense and myrrh.

Frankincense was the gift of Spirit to consecrate the body with a transmutation of the material into the spiritual and myrrh representing the Eternity of Spirit was also used for anointing, but

It amazes me that man thinks only of the material world and allows the spiritual world to sit in the background of his mind, his life and his heart when he is spiritual himself.

So, how do we begin to understand that we are spiritual and are to live in that manner? One way is to begin to study The Wisdom of Science of Mind here in Stratford, Connecticut. It is a beautiful beginning. You become aware of who you truly are, how to use the science or if you prefer this philosophy and your place in this Universe upon Earth.

I can tell you it is certainly far from your being poor, bratty or brattish, demanding and selfish. You will become aware that life truly is beautiful and is for you in all areas supporting you Spiritually, mentally and bodily.

You will find that the "Oil of Life" is a great bonus given to you by The Holy One, Blessed is He and the joy of living will and can fill your life if you so choose. Our Father wants only the best for you. However, it is something that you are to work out in your own mind what "best" means to you and that it is alright for you to receive the best.

If you are unsure or hesitant feeling very insecure and unconfident how this can be. You can ask The Father this question, "Dear Loving Father, what will it take for me to be a wealthy woman/man? Or, will wealth change me"?  Listen carefully to hear His answer.

It also means that the "Oil of Life" may be trying to flow over you as The Father pours it upon you, but you refuse to listen and the flow may be poured on the very one you prefer never to listen to what they say. This is a great Truth: Everything begins here on Earth in this life that you live.

Thus, if you want to receive good, then you must begin to see good everywhere, in everything. What makes greater sense is for each of us to know what good looks like.  

It is absolutely impossible to constantly see everything as bad and think good is going to come from that. Then to feel everyone that looks different from you are bad and then expect only good to come to you that is truly ludicrous, unreasonable and illogical.

What you see (meaning in your mind's eye) is what you get. A very old Truth once stated by Flip Wilson.

The Light of Our Father

Truth is what Our Father wants you to know, because GOD IS TRUTH.  Yet it is not my call for you to use what is here. It is yours. It is always your decision to use, to try, to think about and to say, "This is good."

The only answer I could give was what I thought was the truth. I said, "Most of our teachers were Caucasian and they used the word "white" as that is what I suppose they saw light as being. I accepted it without question."

. "There is a difference between the words "white" and "bright". White is a color and the synonyms are pallid, fair, colorless, pasty, ashen and sallow. However, the synonyms for bright are brilliant, vivid, intense, dazzling, light and clear and the antonym is dark. Do you understand the difference?"

It took time for me to go back to sleep as I thought about what I had heard and the dialogue I had with whom I believe was Our Father. After all, who else could or would call the light "His" except The Father of everything on and in this Universe?

I was also told that it was to be in our Newsletter. The reason it was given to me? Unknown, however, I am very grateful and praise Our Father, stand in awe of Him and glorify His Holy Name. I trust you may choose to give great thought to this.

The Meaning of Marriage - Part 5

What Is the True Meaning of Marriage?

It is amazing that many really have little understanding of what the idea of Marriage Our Father had in mind from the beginning. In the Scriptures, the Book of Romans tells much about marriage. Of course, this is Paul's understanding and this is our understanding of what marriage truly is.

A marriage is a mystical agreement (or attunement) between two people, a man (who represents the conscious mind) and a woman (who represents the subconscious mind).  The body and the soul are united in spirit to live and work together on the Earth Plane in harmony that each soul may return to Creator.  When this is understood, practiced and held firm in the heart, then the Holy Spirit awakens and the marriage is solidified (strengthened) in the Heavenly Realm.

Now if you truly study each sentence and then think about the Bible, the Old Testament and the New Testament you will see that the Scriptures tell a story about EACH individual and that there is a conscious mind (which is man) and subconscious or as it is stated in New Thought, subjective mind (which is woman).

It tells how each individual has both man and woman, male and female within, which is actually the conscious and subconscious mind that must marry-MARRY-become one.

That, you may say is heavy. Indeed, it is, but that is exactly what it is about. All the wars in the Bible are the wars that we as humans have inside, within us. So, the idea of bringing these two "minds" out that we can see that there is nothing that any of us need worry ourselves about, for it is Our Father operating each and every moment.

There is a verse in the Old Testament, Psalm 91:11, "For he shall give his angels charge over thee, to keep thee in all thy ways." When you become very close to Our Father, you may even hear Him say to you, "Let My Angels take charge over your life lest you stumble and fall."

What keeps any of us from allowing that to happen? Truly, truly there are many who believe, but are those beliefs healthy enough to bypass all the complexities of life and what we allow in it?

Life and marriage are one and the same. What we fail to allow in life, many do the same thing in marriage. Where is the joy that Our Father imbued, filled and instilled in our hearts? What did we do with it? Marriage of the conscious and subconscious minds, the male and female parts of us must embrace that joy, that love and that power if love and particularly Divine Love is to survive.

The one thing that we fall short in understanding is that if we are (and we are) created in Our Father image and after His Likeness we are truly spiritual and not human. Yes, that is Truth. How else can it be?

Your Heart Is Showing

These words are words of Truth.  We had a wonderful discussion on Sunday, September 29, 2013 in our Gathering of Minds.  We talked about the significance of always being honest and how telling lies to ourselves and others can do much harm.

In the Science of Mind Textbook we find on page 176 paragraph two these words, "There is nothing in all our teaching which calls for lying to ourselves or others."  These words hold great substance that even in the Scriptures we find this, "Lying lips are abomination to the Lord."  Proverbs 12:22.

There are many more verses in the Scriptures regarding this idea of lying.  So, it is the Wisdom of this Science that we must live in integrity, be honest and always tell the truth and when you find it impossible to do, then, you keep quiet.

Jesus was a wonderful example for us as he could have told those questioning him something that was far from Truth knowing that they planned to kill him.  Yet, he said nothing.

How many of us if we were put in the same predicament would lie because of fear?   Or, how many of us would simply lie because we want to appear brave in the eyes of others?  Lying is never the answer.

For me, it never occurred to me that one being truthful, honest and exhibiting integrity meant so much to me.  Perhaps, it means more to you than you know also.  It is always wise to be honest.  It matters not what culture, country, city, state, race or religion, always it is wise to be honest.  We all are here to learn and this is a very important lesson to bring to fruition.

It is your heart that is involved here and this is where Our Father reads, feels and knows you.  What do you want Him to see?  What do you want your heart to show Him?

What Happened to Reality?

That is what it appears that we do. What we do not understand, are we simply choosing to say that part of Scripture is untrue? Thus, if we leave that which we do not understand by the wayside and simply choose what we understand that would be a grave mistake!

bold statement, but it is true. I think that the Book I Kings, chapters 10, 11, and 12 supports this Truth. I know, most think that Science of Mind is not about the Bible, but that too is a grave mistake on the part of anyone who believes that. Do we as God's delightful children understand the Bible? Probably not.

Life As We Know It

Dealing with this thing called life sometimes becomes difficult. It has been a statement of mine that New Thought has a hard time with it, also. I am speaking of letting people know when those who are dear to us have departed from this life or as we say it, made their transition.

In the month of May, a very, very dear friend and colleague made her transition and I did not know until almost two months later. We talked quite often on the phone, but I noticed that neither of us had called the other for about six weeks. When I tried to reach her, there was no way to get in touch. Even her "Rose Ministry" said absolutely nothing. I left a message and there was no reply.

Reverend Dr. Barbara Williams, who spoke for us when we took a two week vacation from our Ministry at World United Church, made her transition from this life into the next Life. On one of the Sundays she also facilitated an afternoon workshop on Forgiveness which works and her presentation was magnificent. Her death really affected me. She was my Spiritual Retreat roommate for at least five of the six Weekend Spiritual Retreats that Reverend Dr. Michael Beckwith facilitated for our Ministerial Class. I thank the very close Ministerial friend of hers that did not know me and was kind enough to telephone me after all the messages left everywhere regarding her transition.

I finally released the sorrow and pain of her death only to enter into the experience of my last dear sister, Trudye's transition. We talked quite often on the phone and my husband and I visited her when we could. The conversations were about how to handle life, what we would do to live long lives. Much information was sent to do what Our Father said, "And God said, Behold, I have given you every herb bearing seed, which is upon the face of all the Earth and every tree, in the which is the fruit of a tree yielding seed; to you it shall be for meat. Genesis 1:29.

We talked about all of this and even that God didn't just take care of us, but He took care of every living thing on the Earth. This is the proof, "And to every beast of the earth, and to every fowl of the air, and to every thing that creepeth upon the earth, wherein there is life, I have given every green herb for meat; and it was so." Genesis 1:30. Our Father cares about everything that He created.

I was about to send more information to her and I asked Eashoa' (better known to you as Jesus) if it was alright to do that (I always ask if what I am doing or plan to do is alright). I was surprised by the answer, but obeyed. He said, "No, you have done all that you can. She is now in My Father's care." I fail to recall the hour or even if I wrote down the hour of his response. I thought everything was fine only to hear about 4:00 P.M. that same day that Trudye had passed.

I never knew that she was that sick. When we went to see her at the Senior Center, she looked and acted fine. A year or two earlier when she was in the Hospital, I was there looking out the window when her Doctor came in and she told him she wanted to go home. He said, "There's the window, jump." I turned to say something, but my sister sent me eye messages not to say a word. I was amazed, but she recovered and was sent home. I still visited her for about six weeks until I thought she was fine.

I have become aware of the body, how it heals itself IF we do what Genesis 1:29 says, but we appear to forget that. We emerge with this idea that herbs are unsafe for us, yet we use them to season our food and the Medical field uses them also, but feels God needs help and adds to those herbs. I simply fail to understand us. Perhaps, that is the reason this has affected me so much. WE ARE SPIRITUAL. WE ARE NOT HUMAN!

When we act spiritual, all kinds of wonderful things take place. When we act human, all kinds of negative thoughts, actions and beliefs fill us. There is enough Divine Love for everyone. There is enough money for everyone. There is enough happiness for everyone. There is enough joy for everyone. There is enough willing power for everyone. There is enough peace for everyone. There is enough pleasure for everyone. There is enough delight for everyone. There is enough bliss for everyone. There is enough fun for everyone. There is enough amusement for everyone, but we are the ones to make the choice-LIFE or DEATH? Both can be painful.

I do want you to know that my sister came to me three times after her passing. The first was when our daughter came to see if I was alright. Trudye appeared, but I did not want to frighten our daughter, Tamie, so I turned from the appearance of her. The second time she came, I am not sure what I was doing, but she simply said, "I'm sorry". The last time she came she sat on the side of my bed as I was about to go to sleep and said again, "I'm sorry." I never hold a conversation with those who have departed from this world into the next, except if they come too often, I will tell them they must accept what they chose.

Just know this, "God loves ALL His children, Black, White, Yellow, Brown and Red. He loves us all! He especially loves it when each of us treats the other kindly and even more Divine Love comes our way from Him when we treat Him kindly. Hate is futile (as a Borg on Star Trek would say), but God's Love is eternal. Learn to accept eternality peacefully.

G O D Provides OR Ancient Secrets of the Bible

We as Ministers know and understand that the Bible is a "Guide to Life" and it is sometimes amazing when you begin to truly understand it.  

We did not receive enough information about the Bible when we were in the School of Ministry.  It would have been beneficial to each Ministerial Student if we had received a full year of just Bible Study and its relationship with life today. 

No matter how much "New Thought", "Science of Mind" (and there is a lot of Bible there), "Self-Help", "Positive Stuff" or even "Bible Interpretation" one has had, we are finding that unless you really know the Bible (and its metaphysical meaning), you may be missing some important points about living, being successful and about the importance of understanding what Our Father really said to His children and what He is saying to each of us today. 

A very good approach is to study the Scriptures as if you are finding what others have done in their life, how they listened and how their life manifested for them,  Then compare it to how people are listening today and how they are manifesting life. 

What this statement means is that it would be wise to simply translate the word "Bible" into the words "Living Life" or "How to Live Life".   Emerson made a reference to our always preparing to live, but never really living.  Isn't it about time that we begin to live?

When we watch these DVDs, we feel, know and understand what it was that all of Our Father's children can do if they understand the Bible.  

As we ask you to join us to listen to the message before the discussion and to view these DVDs and then discuss what we saw and how it relates to life today, it is eye opening, life inspiring, increases joy, uplifting and sheer wisdom in every phase of knowing and being.

Do not take offense in how I have said any of this, for I know no other way than to just say it.  You have no idea what you are missing when you do not participate at least once a month or even once every 2 months in our study of the Bible.  Ernest Holmes wrote:  The Hidden Power of the Bible which gives many lessons from statements made in the Bible.  He has even written an entire chapter on "Finding the Christ" in the textbook.  We have read that chapter at least a dozen times and find ourselves going back to check just what it truly means to us after listening to the DVDs. 

While everyone appears crazed over money, few give Our Father and the one born over 2 thousand years ago and then crucified, thought, worship or praise.  Yet, if something happens to threaten wealth or life, that is the first name uttered, O God or Jesus Christ help us.

What if Our Father were to say, "I never knew you."  Those are words that I am certain none of us want to hear.  I entreat you, don't take the chance.

Each day you awaken is the first day of your life.  It would be wise to make it the best day of your life.  It would be wise to return to Our Father and return to Jesus, the Christ.

 When we study the Bible we must know these Truths:

1. The law of the Lord is perfect, converting the soul
2. The testimony of the Lord is sure, making wise the simple. 
3. The statutes of the Lord are right, rejoicing the heart
4. The commandment of the Lord is pure, enlightening the eyes  
5. The fear (meaning the respect, worship) of the Lord is clean, enduring for ever
6. The judgments of the Lord are true and righteous altogether
7. More to be desired are they than gold, yea, than much fine gold: sweeter also than honey and the honeycomb.     

You see Holmes tried to tell us that it is Our Father who must be worshiped and Jesus is the example we must listen to and understand what he is saying about Our Father and then practice what he says.   

However, most appear to have forgotten about Jesus altogether and disregard him as even being worthy or is part of our way of thinking.  As a result, some have misunderstood thinking that Jesus is not really part of the "New Thought Way" of thinking or of Holmes' Science of Mind.

As we all have been given choice, unless we know from what we can choose, we generally accept what is given us and often times not fully understanding what we have chosen.

May Our Father infuse and permeate your mind with His Wisdom, Truth and Understanding.

It is your choice to allow this day be the best day of your life.
