I Have A Question for You

If you could change your past, no matter what it is or was, would that also change your life or change who you were? Would it change who you are today

We are constantly trying to change what we did in the past. We are constantly saying, "If I had done such and such. If I had made that investment. If, if, if.

Maybe nothing in our own personal life needs changing. Maybe in our own personal life acceptance is the answer, because what happened taught us a great lesson. Perhaps, we have been blinded from seeing the lesson because we am busy looking at "if".

Today, may I suggest that you sit in a chair or lie on the bed or floor and become very still. Open a curtain to the past, stand back and look at yourself. Look at what it is on the screen of the past that has brought on this great, big "if" and simply watch yourself as if you were watching a movie.

Have no emotions about what you are seeing. Look at your body language, your facial expressions and if you have truly become very still, see the thoughts that you had at the time. What brought you to this? What was the reason for such an experience?

Ask the question and listen to your first response, "Did this experience grow my soul? Am I learning something here? Was this necessary? Would I be fulfilled if this experience was never realized?" Ask any other questions without becoming involved in what is taking place. It would be very wise to be candid about what you are doing free from stress, strain or blame.

May The Father bless you in all your endeavors and lead you to understand that this life experience is for growth and nothing more except to enjoy it!

Let God Be More Than a God of Crisis in Your Life

We as a people appear to have allowed money to be our God. As a result chaos has loomed over us like a cloud of prejudice, hate, anger and drugs that spurns furious children of exasperation and frustration.

When these children live with us in our hearts and minds, our very spirit changes from the loving and kindness that we are truly created to be. We tend then to lose faith in the very God that created us and we have noticed that when chaos comes, we pray more.  It is wise to let God be more than a God of crisis or of chaos.

It is absolutely true that Our Father said that we are the caretakers of the Earth, over what happens in and to the Earth. Thus, these terrible storms are unnecessary. All the "stuff" in the Scriptures that tells of these things that are to happen is to happen if we fail to worship Our Father and obey His Commandments. It is that simple.

All the characters in the Bible we at some time become or act like them. One who is guided by Divine Wisdom chooses wisely the character that he or she wants to be. The Bible really is a guide for us. Would you like to be an "Abraham" who obeyed and worshipped The Lord so very closely in all his actions that Melchizedek came to his camp to have Bread and Wine with him?  Or would you like to be able to do the things that Jesus did and more? It is your choice.

We as people tend to think and believe that "Black" is bad.  I think we can all agree that if we believe in the "Creation" story in the Bible that it says everything was dark.  I think we can accept "dark" as being "black as in the night".

Have you really looked at the Universe, the stars, the moon, the heavens, the trees, the seas, the Earth and what comes from beneath the Earth?  There is strength here, minerals that not only you can wear, but use for healing.  There is wealth beyond our wildest dreams that is meant for every person-every child of God to embrace with kindness.

Look at the different "races and cultures" of people.  There is creativity in all.  In Egypt, the people were dark skinned. In Ethiopia, the people were dark skinned.  In Africa, the people were dark skinned.  Those people were and still are good people.  These people were dark so that the hot sun would not harm their skin.  Whatever The Father placed in them, He knew what they needed for protection.

Prejudice has no place here, for when you prejudge people, you are prejudging The Father.  Everything and I mean everything belongs to God and is His creation even when we say, "I invent" it belongs to The Father and it came through someone.

When our lights came back on after the storm, I said, "Thank you God and thank you Thomas Edison."  I gave the credit and gratefulness to God first, because without Him Thomas Edison would have known nothing.  

My mom and dad always taught us that there is a little bit of good and a little bit of bad in every person. They taught that no one is 100% good or 100% bad. New Thought of which Universal Wisdom Fellowship comes under as a Religious Denomination teaches to look at the good in all people.

No matter the race, the culture, the Religion or anything else, you would not be here if there wasn't something that you are to improve upon in yourself. Face it-we all have to grow more spiritually and Our Father is the only one in control. Worship Him, Love Him, Follow after Him, Know Him, Obey Him and you will have all that you desire and more.

Disobedient children will simply come back again and again, over and over until they do what is required to be as close to 100% good as they can.

It saddens me deeply when I hear one say that there is a lot of prejudice in "my party". Our Father gave us authority over our own beingness, but never to control or hurt another of His children.  May I suggest that we begin to look for the good in all peoples.

What State Do You Live In?

The President assigns Ambassadors, people to carry to other nations the beliefs, ideas and concerns of the President and the United States of America. Thus, it is wise to have a President that lives in the state of happiness, state of joy, state of honesty, state of integrity, state of happiness and above all the state of peace.

If that President lives in a state of war, chaos, prejudice or any other negative belief, it makes it difficult for the people that he presides over to live in peace, happiness, joy, integrity or honesty.

However, the greatest interest is you-each individual. What is the state in which you live? Do you live in the State of Peacefulness or in its opposite-the State of Disturbance and Fear?

To bypass what the Leader may or may not be is to know where you live yourself.  

If you are interested only in what lies on the outside of - the externals-the material world, then what lies on the inside -the internal-the spiritual world, suffers from the lack of attention. What lies within is what keeps you in a State of Goodness and when you live in that state nothing on the outside will have bearing upon what happens in your life.

In the world within may be found infinite Wisdom, infinite Power, infinite Supply of all that is necessary, waiting for unfoldment, development and expression. States of all kinds of Goodness presses upon each of us, yet we fail to welcome it and give it a home in our being or in our heart.

It may be that we are busy criticizing others that we fall short in understanding that what we say about others is truly the belief we hold about ourselves, for as Rev. Ike always said, "I meet no one but me."

If we want to get along with other Nations, other people, other Countries, we must first get along with ourselves-the individual "self".  

In other words, if I want to get along with other Nations, other people, other Countries, I must first get along with me, myself and I. This is the Wisdom that we teach in Science of Mind and what Science of Mind speaks of, for this thing begins with each of us as an individual and never about the "other" person that we think is affecting us.  

We live in the "Universal World" that Our Father created and it does not matter to Our Father whether you believe that He is The Creator or not. He knows who and what He is and what He has done, did and still do.

What matters is that you understand there are two (2) worlds-your own individual world that you initiate according to your thinking and the "Universal World" that Our Father created. That is what is important.

Thus, mom did nothing that caused you to be as you are. She simply allowed you to come through her into the "Universal World" that Our Father created for you to express Him and for Him to entertain you and You entertain Him.

Please, I know that this is deep, but deep is crying unto deep-"My Children, understand Me" is what I hear Our Father saying.

Love Him dearly because He loves you dearly.

We ask that you do not take this study lightly, for it means that when you face yourself, your thoughts and beliefs, and know who you really are, it will make a difference in whether you return to this world of Our Father or another.   

Surely, this is not the only "Worldly Creation" that Our Father brought into view for us to entertain Him and be entertained by Him.

Six Week Study -- Raising the Consciousness to Live Without Fear

Week 1      What Does Fear Do to the Body, Mind, Spirit? 

                 Fear is tied in with anger, hate, guilt and/or worry. The nurses took the blood pressure of one of their patients and it was normal, but it did not meet the requirements of that first nurse. Age has nothing to do with Our Father.

                 Arrogantly, she stated that the pressure (which was normal) was wrong and called forth 2 other nurses to take it. The patient became angry and of course the pressure zoomed. Her words, "There, that's better." This attitude still follows that patient today.   

                   I trust that patient is letting the thoughts of others fly out the window and now know who she/he is. 

Week 2      Is There Such a Thing as Vague Subtle Unconscious fear?

                   Ask questions: Who am I? What am I? Dr. Holmes in the SOM Textbook says, "Know - without a shadow of doubt that as a result of your treatment, some action takes place in Infinite Mind. Infinite Mind is the actor and you are the announcer." (Treatment means scientific prayer)

Week 3      Fear Arises from Mental Attitudes

                 Have you written out your "Philosophy of Life?             

                 It is our attitude about life that is important. Your attitude shows what you are and what you believe about yourself and your world. Discover and realize that a pleasant attitude will bring forth pleasant actions

Week 4      Methods to Raise the Consciousness

                   Some say that there are those who like to see things as either "black" or "white". There is one thing for sure, all doubt must be cleared from the mind if you want to raise the consciousness. There can never be a compromise with consciousness. God never negotiates or meet us halfway when reaching a higher level of consciousness. This is why so prayers are left unanswered as we want to see them answered generally our way.

Week 5      Security that Knows No Fear

                   The security that leads us to all demonstrations is the release of all doubt and fear, which has many names. This week, we study the Laws of the Universe. There appears to be many because we misunderstand, thus limiting the really only One Law. Therefore, it is to our benefit that we understand what we limit.    

Week 6      Destination Reached and Fulfilled

                   Are we there yet? A very valuable question. Children ask this question all the time. You can ask if of Our Father, "Am I there yet?" Our answers will give us the Real Truth.

Let Thanks Enter Your Heart

There is far more on and in this Earth to be thankful for than there is to be angry about. This thought came to me after listening to Diane Bish on the organ at Callaway Gardens in Pine Mountain, Georgia. I do believe that she mentioned something about a similar place in which Dr. Robert Schuller also developed with a small chapel in the area with stained glass windows representing the different seasons.

Although we lived in California for about 20 years it is such a b-i-g place that I did not know of such a place as Callaway Gardens with that kind of beauty described, but we can't know everything.

I began to wonder just what Our Father wanted of us on the East Coast. Are we to instill even greater beauty of His Earth in many more hearts? Or, is it to really assist as many as possible to understand His, Her, Its beauty in each individual's heart?

My heart right now is filled with so much love this morning that it is almost difficult to contain it. Looking at the beautiful gardens and seeing the birds was beautiful.

Our Practitioner, Maureen who now lives in Georgia, loves Cardinals and what was the first thing that I saw in that beautiful garden of flowers? There sitting on a branch in the trees was a Cardinal.

Does it strike you odd that major voting, the Presidential voting and Thanksgiving are held in the same month-November? Is this a beautiful way to say thank you to Our Father for giving us the privilege to "choose" our leader for the United States of America?

I recall how our Minister, Dr. Bill Hornaday would always say to the congregation, "Remember to vote." He never told us "who" to vote for or the party to vote for-it was simply to vote. Our Father in Heaven never "made" us do anything, but simply gave us the authority and privilege to choose what we desired for our "own" life.

So, we say to you, "Take the responsibility for your own life and remember to vote when the time comes." You choose how you want to live.
