We Love Our Dogs

March 2013

It's Almost Here! SPRING!

Dusty
Happy St. Patty's Day Dusty!
Hooray for Spring! It's been a long winter and we can hardly wait to greet you! Our dogs are all looking forward to long walks and lots of playtime in the sun.  Make sure your best friend is ready for the spring weather and the summer that's right behind it. Flea protection is particularly essential at this time of year. Of course, heartworm protection should be done year round, but if you've missed winter dosages, make an appointment for a heartworm test before restarting medication. Then, make sure you provide all year protection for your dog.
Webster

Lots of us plan plenty of activities for the first beautiful spring day, but be careful. If you and your dog have been couch potatoes all winter, don't overdo the hiking, biking, and outdoor activity. A nice, quiet walk can be a great start to increasing your activity level.

Enjoy the spring weather. I promise you it's just around the corner!!!
SOME OF OUR ADOPTABLES

About a year old and 14 pounds, Madison is an energetic little girl who would make a great companion for an older child looking for a furry playmate.

STEVIE

Stevie is 2-3 years old and is blind in his right eye from an early injury. Stevie is very social and sweet, good with dogs, cats, and especially people! He just wants to be part of your family!

Just two years old and 11-pounds, Cuddles is fine with dogs and cats, but he delights in children. Cuddles currently requires an at-home person to continue his house training. Some lucky family will be delighted with this sweet boy.

PIP

Look at that face!! Pip is a sweetheart who was
found on the side of the road. Less than two and only 15 pounds, Pip would welcome an adult home and someone at home to continue his housetraining. This little doll will fill your home with joy!
