Alumni Council Has New Officers
New officers have been selected for the Alumni Council, the governing body of Capitol College's Alumni Association. Yonathan Goitom '10 will serve as the association's new president. The previous president, Ken Kassing '03, will take up a new role as vice president, while Tom Bagg '95 will continue on in his current position as secretary. The officers were chosen at the Association's annual meeting on Monday (November 25th).
Goitom (pictured left) received a BS in Information Assurance in 2010, followed by an MS - also in Information Assurance - in 2013. A technical account manager at Dell Corporation, he has previously held positions at Booz Allen Hamilton and NASA's Goddard Space Flight Center. Open House: Getting to Know Capitol
When prospective students - and their parents - attend an Open House at Capitol, they get an up-close view of life at the college. As part of the event, they attend workshops and meet the professors they will be studying with. They can ask as many questions as they want, gaining a full overview of the program they are considering. After the workshops, they tour the campus in the company of student ambassadors who love Capitol and are eager to spread the word. Find out more about Open Houses at Capitol College. |
Capitol, Fixmo: Partners for Success
In his role as chief security officer at Fixmo, Capitol College doctoral student and Information Assurance advisory board member Daniel Ford (pictured) is a driver of innovation. Since joining the mobile risk management company in 2012, he has worked tirelessly to further strengthen its suite of solutions.
His efforts have yielded results. In June, the US Defense Information Systems Agency awarded a $16 million contract for Mobile Device Management and Mobile Application Store (MDM/MAS) capabilities. Fixmo is a key technology provider for the program, partnering with Digital Management Incorporated (DMI).
Thanks to technology developed by Ford and his colleagues, personnel across the Department of Defense will enjoy state-of-the-art information security when they use their Android or Apple iOS devices.
