Friends and Family,
A few weeks back I attended my niece's wedding. It was lovely. Seeing friends and family of both the bride and groom coming together to witness their vows, dedication and love to each other was a credit to whom they are.
Although they were in their mid-thirties, it was kind of an old fashion wedding. What I mean about that it was centered in Spirit and God. The minister was able to bring both the human part (their commitment towards each other) and the divine part ;"What God has brought together let no man separate" and interweave them, but always keeping the divine peace above all.
There was a part where the bride and groom each had a piece of rope and then knotted it together, representing tying the knot, bonding together. The pieces of rope were two different colors representing both the bride and groom. The knot is the symbol of their bond, an unbreakable pledge to each other.
Tying the knot has been used in most of the cultures over hundreds of years; maybe thousands.
It reminded me of just two years ago, tying the knot with my beloved Liz. Although I still feel as if I am on a pink cloud at times, certainly life has sent the both of us challenges. These challenges represent the tightening of our knot, making our bond to each other ever stronger. We are best of friends, and partners for life that are in love with each other and honor each other.
Last month the Ah-Man Spiritual Recovery newsletter talked about "The Purpose of Human Life", and gave insight from those who accomplished it, merging The Divine and human parts of us.
This month I will try to keep it simple...in order to merge with The Divine, it is best to be in a state of happiness.
So this month I will write about cultivating the state of happiness, what is the best way to put yourself in a position to experience happiness throughout your day.
Walk in Love, Contemplate Happiness, and Feel His Peace,
Michael
