This month's newsletter and the blogs that follow weekly will be based on The Purpose of Human Life.
The purpose of this life is to fully experience your divinity (Being Unlimited) while being in a physical body (being limited).
And how does one do that you might ask? Through experiencing the Unlimited, God.
So how can the human body experience this Unlimited, this God...It can't. The human body does not experience it; we can't experience God through theology, through searching for God in self-help books, even scriptures. Nor can the body find Divinity through physical and mental practice of yoga or meditation.
The body does not experience the Unlimited, the Spirit does, the body might be the vehicle, but it's not the driver.
A mystic said to me it's like reading a menu and trying to enjoy the food and deserts on the menu without actually eating the food. You don't get to enjoy the food by reading the menu, you have to eat it, experience it.
The menu might tell what's in it, how its prepared, and even show you how it looks but that's never going to fill your belly and satisfy you.
Similarly, reading books, doing all kinds of practices, assimilating all the different kinds of knowledge feeds the mind and brain, not the soul.
Even spiritual scripture and practices won't bring about an immediate Divine experience. That is why you'll hear over 90%-95% of people say, Oh, the Bible, I read that, I got nothing out of it, its just a book. They say the same thing about prayer..."I've tried praying...nothing happens".
Trying to find the Unlimited with our limited mind...well I thinks it's hilarious. I know, I've tried to find Divinity outside without looking inside.
With Divinity, we don't find it, its already here. We just have to be, and that takes time. Shutting down, turning off all the switches, the mind chatter, the sense stimulations, and go within. It's there!
Divinity is in the Scriptures. It is in meditation. It's everywhere...slow down, breath, and absorb one thing at a time.
I'm not speaking of being present...no, that's being aware of what's all around you. I'm speaking of Being In The Presence, that's experiencing Divinity...now.
Over the weeks in the month of September I will pass on different words from those who walked this earth but were fully Divine, and saw Divinity in every step.
Take that quote and use it. Repeat each morning. Then slip into the silence and let those words settle into your heart. Repeat them throughout the day if you can, and certainly at night before you go to bed. Again read them and absorb them in your heart...not your mind, don't think... just be.
Walk in Love & Peace,
Michael
