Emergency Preparedness Merit Badge Weekend at Yawgoog - October 18-20 | |
Join us for the fifth annual "Emergency Preparedness Weekend" hosted by Yawgoog Scout Reservation. This weekend is geared for scouts who need to earn either the First Aid or Emergency Preparedness merit badges. New for this year is Search & Rescue Merit Badge.
Participants may come as individuals, patrols, or troops. Host troops will be designated at certain provisional campsites to accomodate all campers.
Participants will be camping near, and eating at, the Medicine Bow Dining Hall. Scouts should be prepared for fall weekend camping including a tent, as well as proper clothing and gear.
The Hope Valley - Wyoming Fire District, and the Hope Valley Ambulance Squad are expected to visit us at this event. There should also be a special demonstration again this year.

A fun-filled and excited year of Scouting program starts with some ideas, some planning, and funding your adventures by selling Trails End Popcorn!
By selling Trails End Popcorn over 70% of the funds stays local to support your Pack or Troop, and all of the great camps and programs our Council has to offer.
New for this year is an all new prize program, as well as some exciting new Council incentives.
Your unit not selling Popcorn? It's not to late to start. Either your whole unit, or just a den or patrol, or even individuals can sell. Contact Marc Cardin for more info.

Webelos-o-Ree
September 28-29 Camp Yawgoog
Join us for this exciting Webelos Camporee! Webelos will have a chance to participate in some great program activities during the day and will have a chance to have dinner with and interact with a Boy Scout Troop Saturday night!
Free Family Fun Day - October 5
Camp Champlin
Come join us for a great outdoor family event. This is also a great opportunity to introduce new families to Scouting. All Scouts, Parents and siblings attend for free! We will also have registration tables to have your New Scout sign up on the day of the event.
We will provide lunch and a a number of fun and exciting programs.
Chuckwagon Derby - October 19
Camp Cachalot
A Chuckwagon Derby is a Council wide, friendly competition of Scouting knowledge and spirit. This is the day that the boys in your Pack will meet boys from all over the Council and spend a day sharing "Cub Scout Spirit."

Tiger Cub "Go See It" at the Narragansett Council Scout Shop
The Narragansett Council Scout Shops are offering an opportunity for your Pack or Den to bring the whole group to the shop for a Tiger Cub Go See It. This is a chance for your group to become acquainted with the scout shops and familiarize themselves with the resources offered.
While there our helpful staff will guide your scouts in the purchase of their first uniform! This is a chance for you to ensure that your entire group is outfitted with full, identical uniforms. We are also happy to guide new adult leaders with any uniforms, materials or information needed to get them started in Scouting.
All scouts purchasing a complete uniform will receive 10% off their purchase and a 2013 "I'm A Scout" commemorative patch! All scouts will receive a free reusable Scout Shop shopping bag!
