Eagle Scout Recognition Dinner
Celebrating the Eagle Class of 2012/2013 |
Eagles will be sponsored by and have an opportunity to meet with some outstanding people engaged in industry, business, or a profession in our community. Each Eagle will be matched with his sponsor and be seated with that person for dinner.
We are very fortunate to have Lt. Col. James G. Zumwalt as our guest speaker this year. Lt. Col. Zumwalt is a veteran of the Vietnam War, the invasion of Panama and the first Gulf War. He is also the son of the former Chief of Naval Operations, Admiral Elmo Zumwalt. Lt. Col. Zumwalt is broadly published on both military and foreign affairs.
Family members are welcome to attend the dinner, however, family will be seated separately to give the Eagle Scout and Sponsor the opportunity to interact. The sponsor will be covering the cost of the Eagle Scout's meal..

Spring Camporees Cub/Webelos Chuckwagon Derby at Cachalot: May 18 Boy Scouy Spring Camporee at Champlin May 17-19 |
At Chuckwagon Cubs compete for ribbons at stations that test traditional Cub Scout skills as well as stations that are just for fun. Each Cub Scout Den will load all of their gear on a wagon and travel from station to station.
The theme of the Boy Scout Camporee is "A Knight to Remember". From the times of legend we have heard tell of Heroes, men and women who have championed the cause of Justice and Honor. From the time of King Arthur, there have been the Knights of the Round Table, where all were equal. A sample of the Knight's code may have parts that look familiar to a Scout. Join us in celebrating 100 years of "Knights" in America!
