As a movement professional and mother of a 14-year-old, I see what sitting on the floor at school has
taught many of our kids to do: SLOUCH. Add a back pack of 10 pounds to a slouching spine and you have years of unnecessary wear and tear.
As a movement therapist, I teach the body to "listen" to hands-on suggestions. I can enhance posture so the back curves properly when sitting, standing, and moving. That includes working with kids! I teach them how to strengthen the core muscles so that sitting, standing and walking energizes them, rather than increases their exhaustion. Let's design a future for kids without back pain!
