Surge Suppression Incorporated suffered a huge loss in 2012 with the passing of our friend, founder and CEO, Travis Sanders. His loss weighs heavily on our hearts. The continuation of his legacy is a successful company that thrives through adversity. SSI did just that by finishing 2012 with a record year in sales! For that, we thank you - our loyal customers and clients. We wish one and all a very happy and prosperous new year.
In the past couple of months, we have reviewed our policies and procedures in an effort to discover ways to improve our product offering and the services we provide. We have come up with some great ideas and have implemented several new programs designed for enhanced customer service.
We have also doubled our efforts to be more active in the field and to promote better communications with our customers and clients. This will enable us to discover ways to improve our products and services. Additionally, we have made staff changes to accommodate this commitment and projected growth.
SSI will be expanding...

Ready, Set ... Goal

Some people don't know how to goal set for the New Year. Why? They may be feeling low or overwhelmed about the year ahead. Perhaps they didn't have a great year in 2012 and are predicting the same results for the year ahead.
I've been there but these feelings don't last forever. They will eventually go away and I'd like to share with you a very good way to make them go away very quickly.
Today I would like to talk about being successful in 2013 even if you can't think of a single goal to set right now. Don't worry, this one lesson will allow you to feel more peaceful, happy, centered and above all else, a feeling of belonging.
What do I mean by belonging? I mean a sense of contribution. That what you did, no matter how big or small, in 2012 was meaningful. You matter, yes that means you! So what if you didn't win an Olympic medal in 2012. Sure it would have been nice (I REALLY want one now) but as long as you grew as a person in any way, it all counts. Why? Because ordinary things done consistently, lead to extraordinary results!

Ricky Fussell is an electrical engineer at Surge Suppression Incorporated. He has been involved in the surge suppression industry since 1991 as a Design and Test Engineer. Ricky has also worked in the aerospace and military communications industry starting in 1979. He received his BSET in Electrical Engineering Technology from The University of Central Florida in 1985.
Ricky currently designs surge protectors for AC power, data, telecom and other applications. This involves both electrical and mechanical design. He performs R&D testing to UL and CSA standards in the SSI test lab and designs test equipment. He has assisted SSI with achieving UL and CSA listings for AC surge protective devices and A & B listings for Data and Telecom surge protective devices.
The SSI test laboratory includes high voltage surge generators for UL and CSA testing. He has designed both custom surge generators and failure mode test equipment for the lab and QA test equipment for production.
Ricky lives in Webster, Florida, with his wife of 31 years. He has two children and one grandchild. He attends church and enjoys exercise and outdoor activities. Ricky is also a member of several hunting and environmental organizations.
