While workload was a factor, much of my media invisibility these many months was my embarrassment over my website and even the "look and feel" of this newsletter. They both more and more seemed dated and stale. Finally I bit the bullet and engaged the services of a person I consider a consummate professional to bring me better into the 21st century. Several weeks of effort, including a transformation of the "old" site into WordPress, and critical editing by both of us yielded what I hope now looks and feels fresher.
There is a lesson here. Many had early work to create your business website. But your business is dynamic and your website likely has not kept pace. Be honest -- does it showcase your business in today's light? If not, then begin the process I just took. Find that creative person who can guide you through a significant update - and execute the changes with efficiency and a high level of skill. I found such a person and will share contact details for any who wish. .

Yes, I've joined the blogosphere! My first informative effort is now posted on my website http://www.gacarpenter.com/?page_id=118. I intend to use this to share information I judge as important to small business men and women for their businesses to be more successful, more profitable and less exposed to risk.
Several items are already drafted. Although there is no precise schedule, I know of three that are sufficiently time sensitive that I will release and post in the next three weeks.
So, my hope is that you will develop a habit to check my website for new postings. And I am, of course, hopeful for all feedback -- the good, the bad, the ugly. And any new topic suggestions, or questions will be especially welcomed. Just e-mail me. |
