Weekends during the month of October, pick out your perfect pumpkin at the U-Pick Pumpkin Patch at Hickey Farms, Sandpoint's only U-Pick Pumpkin Patch, just five miles from Sandpoint on Highway 200. The patch is open 3pm until dusk Fridays, and 10am until dusk Saturdays and Sundays every weekend this month. Bring the family and have some old-fashioned harvest fun!

Sat. Oct. 11th ~ Oktoberfest Celebration & Harvest Fest Sandpoint 

 
Cheers to Oktoberfest in Sandpoint, happening this weekend! Raise your mug to autumn's best celebration, taking place noon to 5 pm this Saturday at the Granary Arts District at Fifth and Oak Street in Downtown Sandpoint. The event features local brews from MickDuff's and Laughing Dog, wine from Pend d'Oreille Winery, great local food, live entertainment with Nu Jack City, arts and crafts vendors, kids' activities, and new this year ... an International Chef Cook-off Competition. Entry fee is just $5, or $3 if you bring a food item for the Bonner Community Food Bank. Don't forget about Sandpoint's Harvest Fest this day as well! Sandpoint Farmers Market closes out its 2014 season this Saturday, 9am to 1pm, with its Annual Harvest Fest featuring entertainment, food booths, activities and displays at Farmin Park. This event is free and fun for the entire family.

Fall is finally here! That means it's Apple Festival time on the Bluff! Every weekend through October 26th, Greenbluff's popular Apple Festival offers a large variety of the best cooking apples, plus fresh-pressed cider and other produce. There's live music, craft booths, corn and straw mazes, and great food for the whole family to enjoy.

This Saturday, watch 13 regional artists as they draw, paint and sculpt from two live models, while accompanied by live music. The event takes place 1 to 4pm in the atrium at the Coeur d'Alene Plaza Shops in Downtown Coeur d'Alene. Everyone is invited to meet the artists and watch them work at this free event organized and sponsored by The Art Spirit Gallery. View the participating artists.

Enoteca is hosting Elysian Brewing for a special night of squash starting at 4pm this Saturday. The very special pumpkin flight includes: Punkuccino, Dark of the Moon, The Great Pumpkin, Night Owl, and Hop Squash. RACE

Sun. Oct. 12th ~ Spokane Marathon

 
The annual Spokane Marathon is this weekend! The Sunday marathon features a 26.2-mile marathon, marathon relay, 13.10 half marathon and 10K run on a beautiful, scenic and challenging course that ends in Riverfront Park. This event is sponsored by the Bloomsday Road Runners Club. Get out there and support the runners. The event starts 7am.

Fri. Oct. 17th ~ Harvest Moon and HalloWine Auction at Mirabeau Park Hotel, Spokane Valley

 
The Harvest Moon and HalloWine Auction will be held Friday, October 17th, 5:30 to 9pm, benefiting Northwest North Pole Adventures Spokane Fantasy Flight. The event starts at 5:30pm, with tickets $45 per person or $340 per table of eight. The Harvest Moon and HalloWine Auction is an annual event and features a silent and live auction, complimentary wine, hors d'oeuvres and a full sit-down dinner. Click here to register today.
