Sat. July 12th ~ Hayden Triathlon at Honeysuckle Beach 

 
Swim, bike, run, unwind ... This Saturday marks the Fourth Annual Hayden Triathlon located in beautiful North Idaho. The City of Hayden is proud to host the Hayden Triathlon. This is a SPRINT triathlon: 0.5 Mile Swim, 12 Mile Bike, 3.1 Mile Run. The race venue features breathtaking scenery, with a challenging but friendly course. We invite you to come race and unwind on the majestic Hayden Lake afterward. Start time is 7am at Honeysuckle Beach.  All proceeds benefit Viking Foundation funding kids sports.

Sat. July 12th ~ Sandpoint Classic Boat Show 

 
The Sandpoint Classic Boat Show kicks off 5:30 to 7pm Friday with a boat run from Sand Creek down the Pend Oreille River and back. Saturday events feature  raising of boat flags and National Anthem at 9:30am, followed by the boat show, open to the public 10am to 3pm, and includes a kid boat building booth, model boat club displays and vendor booths. The days concludes with a 3pm parade of boats on Sand Creek. This is free family fun for all.

Fri. July 11th - Sun. July 13th ~ Third Annual Historic Wallace Blues Festival 

 
The Third Annual Wallace Blues Festival is this weekend! The three-day music event features a packed lineup: The Chris O'Leary Band, Robin Barrett and Coyote Kings, David Raitt and The Baja Boogie Band, Billy D and The Hoodoos, Sammy Eubanks, The Fat Tones, Bakin' Phat, Laffin' Bones, Dirty Rice, Roberson, BZ Trio, Jesse Weston, VooDoo Church, Brother music, Charlie Butts and The Filter Tips, The Sara Brown Band, Anita Royce and The high Rollers, Doghouse Boyz, Jim Tiden Brown, and John Kelley! Sunday there will be a Pancake Feed hosted by Kiwanis Club at the Elks Lodge. Tickets can purchases at Harvest Foods, Wallace Inn and 1313 Club in Wallace; The Long Ear in Coeur d'Alene; Bronco Inn, 4000 Holes and Daley's Cheap Shots in Spokane.

Sat. July 12th ~ Sound Downtown Lewiston Summer Concert Series 

 
Beautiful Downtown Lewiston invites the community to grab a blanket and chairs and enjoy live music by local and regional performers every Saturday evening, July 12th through September 27th, at the 2nd Annual Sound Downtown Summer Concert Series. Shop and dine downtown, then relax while enjoying these free Saturday concerts. This Saturday kicks off this year's summer concert series with Jordan Madsen and Aaron Cerutti. Concerts are held 6 to 8pm on D Street across from Brackenbury Square. Beer and wine are available for purchase.

This week, stop in Little Italy's Wine Bar to tasteg two wines from Washington and a Shiraz from Australia. The wine list includes Kestrel Pinot Gris 2013 (Kestrel Vintners is located in Prosser, Washington); Milbrandt Brothers Blend 2011 (Milbrandt Vineyards is located in Prosser, Wash.); and lastly, Wine Men of Gotham Shiraz 2011 from Wineinc (Wineinc is located in Australia). Tastings are FREE, so don't miss out.

FUNDRAISING EVENT

Sat. July 19th ~ 5th Annual SpoKenya Run/Walk 

 
SpoKenya-logo Saturday, July 19th, marks the 5th Annual SpoKenya Run/Walk, a race for clean water. Participants can run or walk the 7k loop (4.3 miles), and jogging strollers are welcome. The race takes off at Life Center Church at 9am. SpoKenya expo and packet pick-up Friday, July 18th, 3 to 7pm and Saturday, July 19th, 7 to 8:30am. Registration is $20 and closes on July 13th.
